Tried some Haunted Bookshop in the Grand Duke this morning. A slight ghost from the previous bowl of Holiday Mixture made it extra haunted I was pleasently surprised by HB. I got a strong flavor impression of yerba matte, which I really like every now and then.

Sharp looking Morta, and that carver seems to have a loyal following that was earned.

C&D Briar Fox in a Chacom Nougat 102. Very enjoyable smoke, of the tobaccos I have tried this one is most similar to the cigars I used to enjoy. The pipe was a gift from my wife and while different from my usual taste it's possibly my favorite. Very lightweight and comfortable with the right size chamber. www.pipechacom.com/photos/produit-1504-1465901641.jpg

If it's over 2 oz., there will have to be something else about it that really speaks to me in a big way for me to buy it. It's a rare occurrence. Seems to be a bit of a run on Briar Fox around here, lately. I've seen it repeatedly in several people's WAYS posts.

Inspired by Lawitzke, I went out and had a quick bowl of CH in my Dunnie 3101: For my money, the lines and proportions on a 3101 are darn near perfect. They just look right.

Beautiful Dunnie John. Looks like a great smoker! It is! It took me a while to find the right group 3 Apple. I know what you mean about the search. There are subtle nuances in a pipe that make it special. Just the right amount of roundness in the bowl, the shape and feel in the hand, and finally there's the feel of the stem. The lack of B&M stores to walk into to select a pipe today makes it harder to find that right "one". May it give you many years of great service... And if it misbehaves just ship it off to me, I'll get her straight!

It's pretty much the same as when I got it about 8 years ago. It was labeled as racing green and it looks green to me.
