Happy Friday, all! Started the day with a couple bowls of Haunted Bookshop in the Friday cob and coffee on the front porch. It's about 65, sunny and very breezy here, so I'm smoking inside. Our town has organized a city-wide garage sale this weekend, so we're going to do some treasure hunting today.

Good Evening! It's 71° with a mix of clouds and bright sunshine out here on the deck. Listening to KKJZ streaming jazz, smoking a bowl of Limerick VA Flake in the Amorelli, and there's a glass of cold water on the side. Have a great night, everybody!

Smoking a new Kaywoodie Saxon blasted full bent billiard out on the patio at NASPC. johnlawitzke and many folks here. Bought five pipes, and not too many aged tins for sale this year. I’m smoking Sutliff Pipe Force VI, which releases in November. Got samples of all six of them. The first (Episode IV) was just released last month.

Good Saturday Morning! It's a bit on the chilly side here at 52° with a cloudy sky. This Autumn preview won't last, though, as the next three days will be in the upper 80°s. I have to make an afternoon supermarket run to get things that we couldn't at BJ'S yesterday and then get back to the hobby bench. Starting the smoking day with a bowl of Peterson Flake in the Savinelli Venere 128 rusticated billiard and there's a fresh travel mugga coffee on the workshop tobacco table. Enjoy the weekend, everybody!

Started the day with a couple bowls of Haunted Bookshop in the Saturday cob and coffee on the front porch. Upper 60s, headed to the upper 70s, sunny with a light breeze. Perfect weather for more treasure hunting.

Good Morning Again! It's 65° with a mostly clear but hazy sky and bright sunshine out here on the deck. The air quality has been downgraded to poor in our region because of the Canadian wildfire smoke that's drifting across the state. My book and second travel mugga coffee are on the deck table and I'm currently smoking a bowl of thirteen year old McC Blackwoods Flake in the Sav rusticated billiard. Mellow, smooth, and wonderful. Thank you, Darin!

Good evening fellow pipe smokers! I know that those who live near the ocean are used to much bigger waves, but this does not happen to us. Anyway, it was a lot of fun (you will see what i mean in the next post) for me that day.

Sutliff Pipe Force Episode II in a brand new Missouri Meerschaum elite reverse calabash system cob with an acrylic saddlebit stem that looks like brindled vulcanite. On a recent podcast, Brian interviewed Jeremy McKenna of Sutliff about that line of tobacco’s, it was interesting. Were you lucky enough to get the challenge coin in random tins? Tip: Jeremy admitted that if you buy your pipeforce tobacco from a brick and mortar store, it is easy to tell which tins the weight is in by comparing tins in the hand. pipesmagazine.com/blog/radio-talk-show/pipes-magazine-radio-show-episode-568/

No, they were selling samples of all 6 blends in one bundle, for $5. One crumble flake per sample blend. I bought 3 samples, so I got the equivalent of a full tin of all 6 unreleased blends for $15. No tins, all in labeled bags.

Busy day treasure hunting with my wife, a roll-up pouch of Friar's Bayou along for the hunt. Back home now, relaxing with a bowl of Haunted Bookshop in the Saturday cob and a cold beer on the back deck. Sis and BIL are coming by in about an hour hour or so. We'll be enjoying a beautiful summer evening on the back deck.
