Good Saturday Morning! It's 63° here with a cloudy sky and dense fog. Since today is my birthday, Janet and I are going to have dinner at a local Thai restaurant this evening. Starting the smoking day with a bowl of fresh McConnell Scottish Flake in the Savinelli Venere 128 smooth billiard and there's a fresh travel mugga coffee on the workshop tobacco table. Enjoy the weekend, everybody! I just signed on and noticed we share a birthday! (Which has now passed, but Happy Birthday Russ! Thanks, Ted, and Happy Birthday to you, too!

Good Morning! It's 54° with a clear sky here at first light. I actually slept in until a reasonable time instead of waking up at four o'clock. Sacre bleu! Not much on the list for today, so I'll do some work at my hobby bench. Starting the smoking day with a bowl of HH Pure VA Flake in the Savinelli Venere 128 rusticated billiard and there's a fresh travel mugga coffee on the workshop tobacco table. Have a good one, everybody!

Happy Monday, all! My wife and I had an all-day outing with her brother and his wife yesterday. I did pack a pipe and tobacco for the adventure. Today, back to the normal routine. Started the day with a couple bowls of Haunted Bookshop and coffee on the front porch. 64 and sunny with light breezes. Headed to 75. I'll be tending the garden and working in the yard today.

Good Morning Again! It's a beautiful 65° here with a clear sky and bright sunshine. In the workshop and our neighbor's cat, Timmy, has come for a visit and is poking around. Currently smoking a bowl of Straight Grain Flake in the Sav rusticated billiard and there's a second travel mugga coffee on the tobacco table.

More 50/50 blend of 2004 Old Dublin and 2015 Magnum Opus. In the Savinelli 320. Getting to be my morning routine on this camping trip. In the mornings, on this trip, I want something complex and smoky. Go figure. You would think I might have had my fill of smoky by now. But, no.

The Lat blends go well with camping!
The Lat blends in the home though… not so much, the wife complains, she swears that after smoking it, my pores ooze rancid smoke.

The Lat blends go well with camping! The Lat blends in the home though… not so much, the wife complains, she swears that after smoking it, my pores ooze rancid smoke. Same here. I can smoke aromatics, burley blends, VaPers in the house occasionally as long as I keep it in the family room or the man cave and open a window. Lats are ok in my man cave or outdoors. Works for me.

Full Va. Flake in a Paulson Devil Anse. I honestly do not think stem length translates to a cooler smoke, the fuel plays a role and so does the engineering...just my opinion.
