Good Morning! It's 54° with a clear sky here at first light. I have to take my wife to a doctor's appointment and that will take up a good part of the afternoon. Starting the smoking day with a bowl of aged FVF in the Stanwell Silver Mount blasted billiard and there's a fresh travel mugga coffee on the workshop tobacco table. Have a good one, everybody!

Morning! Earlier, I enjoyed some 2016 Motzek Strang with my coffee under a big, orange moon. Supposed to be another cooker today with a high of 104F. Have a good one all!

Good Morning Again! It's a beautiful 66° with a mix of high, wispy clouds and bright sunshine out here on the deck. Up to my usual routine of pipe, second travel mugga coffee, and streaming classical music. Currently smoking a bowl of Straight Grain Flake in the Stanwell blasted billiard.

Started the day with a couple bowls of Haunted Bookshop in the Tuesday cob and coffee on the back deck. 72, sunny and breezy. Might touch 80 with a possible thunderstorm later. Vegetables are picked, will need to water the pots, baskets and garden boxes.

Vegetables are picked, will need to water the pots, baskets and garden boxes. Might get up to 80° here as well, Pete. The rest of the week looks comfortable enough, but the heat will return starting on Saturday. I hope this isn't going to be one of those summers that won't go away.

Went grocery shopping with my wife. Friar's Bayou in the Tuesday cob along for the ride. On the front porch now, after a bite to eat, more Friar's Bayou in the Tuesday cob. Cold water accompanies.

It is funny how a tobacco can can be so wonderful on one day and so horrible on another. I just smoked some Dan Tobacco - Blue Note. It tasted terribly. The first time I smoked Blue Note it was sweet and tasty. I am not sure why this is happening.

My after-dinner smoke was Haunted Bookshop in the Tuesday cob on the front porch. Reloaded with the same. The rain came, got about 5 minutes of well-spaced sprinkles.

More Riverboat Gambler, this time in a self-made, bent billiard. I finally just bought a straight Riverboat Gambler cob, so that I can smoke Riverboat Gambler in it.
But I'm currently finishing a bowl of John Patton's Dark Horse in an MMC Elite Cadel reverse calabash cob.

The age and/or moisture level of the tobacco. What you've had to eat or drink that day. A ghosted pipe. Just plain mood.

I would say set that tin aside and come back to it in another month or whatever suits you, in a different pipe.
