Finally got to put Christmas decor away... The wife keeps it up until the sons birthday is past on the 8th, mine on the 9th. Since I have been a little off the last couple of days so I was delayed to the wife’s dismay.  |

Happy B-Day John! Its 32F in the swamp that is darn cold for us southern boys who dwell in a place where the humidity matches the temperature on most days of the year. Yesterday at the same time had the AC going. I have become obsessed with all things LiFePO4 battery stuff, like car jump starters and back up power. I won a BLUETTI AC70 and already had a BLUETTI eb3a and a portable solar panel. When the generator runs out of fuel I am good to go for a couple of days. ERCOT really dropped the ball two years ago and all of Texas lost power for over a week before all the brainiacs figured out a way to get the grid back on line.

Our bedroom AC kicked on at 11 pm last night. This morning it was all the clothes we could wear just to get to the truck. |

The temperature has dropped to 27° with continued snow flurries and gusty winds here. I've been reading about the big snow storms ranging from Idaho across to Wisconsin as this Arctic weather moves across the Midwest. How's everything by you in Detroit, Silver? Stay safe, everyone! |

Currently 28 with snow flurries. We had a mix of snow and rain last night here. Very little accumulation along the lake. 2-3 inches further inland. This morning's snow gave us an inch of so. Streets are slushy. |

After a lot of disconnecting and reconnecting of cables and swapping components in and out, I got the stereo working again. Seems the network streamer somehow got its active output switched from usb to coax. There's nothing connected to that, so no sound.
Life is now better.

The Arizona Pipe Club had another great meeting today... (as they always are  ). One of our pipe club members has a very respectable cellar, but he recently secured his dream home in the mountains to the east of us, and as the case often is, he decided to do some housekeeping. he decided to give away the many blends that he just does not smoke, his tastes have been refined, he knows what he likes, but he knows what are simply going to be cellar dwellers. What he did, was to gift them blends to the pipe club members, and there really was something for everyone. We still had a box left over that will travel to our brothers on the west side that are not ones that meet at our club, but brothers, nonetheless. As you can see, the boxes are still being unpacked.A new in the box humidor, I gifted to a person, Nick that drew high card...my wife picked it up at a thrift shop for very few shekels. None of this could take place as a solitary pipe smoker, if you can find a club in your area, check it out, if you do not know of one, private message me, I might be able to help out. If there are none near you, we started out as two people meeting up for a smoke.... |
