Felt sick this afternoon and slept for a while. Then sitting at the computer, I figured out how to listen in to Taos County Central Dispatch. So far, a man severely cut his leg and bled out some, at a commercial camp site a dog was left behind, trespasser down in Carson, woman driving without a license. The drama never stops. ![;)](//storage.forums.net/forum/images/smiley/wink.png) . Actually, there is way more silence than radio traffic as one might expect for here. Sorry to hear that you are I'll. I hope it's temporary. Last week a woman ran her Escalade into the back of a semi pulling another semi with no lights, an hour after a guy dropped his motorcycle turning on gravel and skinned his knee and elbow. If it wasn't for the highway, nothing would ever happen.

A nice Summer Monsoon day. Overcast, humid with occasional drizzle, warm in the low 80s. The trees and plants are looking very happy.

The higher the elevation the less atmosphere to block Ultraviolet radiation. So, it feels hotter because the skin is burning. At the peak of Summer the UV goes right through a cotton chambray shirt. So, I have to wear two. I guess I was always in the shade or it was winter. Cross country in a tee shirt was nice with the sun. I just never knew it got that hot in the Denver area. It's quite pleasant all year at Jemez Springs and Los Alamo. 90’s are common in the summer here in Denver and along the Front Range. Typically if it is 90 down here, some place like Winter Park or Grand Lake will be about 75-80. 115 is the hottest temperature on record for Colorado. Down by Lamar in SE part of the state though. Record high for Denver is 102. Back in 1989.

Easy morning at the cardiologist just a quick ultra sound to check Dr Diab last work on the veins in the right leg. I get almost a two week vacation from any visits to my collection of so called care takers a much needed short vacation of sorts. Pain is consistent and terrible so SNAFU on that, placing a order for more Wonder Hussy delta 9 gummies to ease into the rest of July next drug test is on Aug 16th so three weeks of July is good to go. No noticeable improvement on wound care compression therapy still leaking like a bad water pump on the left foot and ankle. Right lower leg looks like a dogs favorite chew toy but no new sores from the infection. One more week to go on cipro so a end to rolling stomach aches is fast approaching. Pregabalin is working without the loss of balance I had with gabapentin but I don't suffer from diabetic peripheral neuropathy but this what pain management thinks is a substitute for codeine based pain reducing drugs that actually do work. I suppose they don't want me semi pain free or get a real good nights sleep. I am really looking forward to being able to be able to just use a cane for walking and pitching this walker to the curb. Despite the challenges I have not fallen down again and had to call the fire dept to put me back in my chair. The local sheriff still stops by and we share a cup of coffee and manage a good laugh or three for good measure. So the 18 month saga of trying to cure a ulcer on the left foot continues with no hospital stays or a pick line dripping antibiotics into my veins. Lets call it a win as I dream of wearing two shoes and doing things normal healthy people do. Yall have a good day and do something nice for someone.

My friend who lives just east of Albuquerque has been told by his doctors that he has to move to a lower altitude because of his heart. His current home is at 6900 feet and he's lived above 6000 feet for the past 50 years, including a 7 year stretch at 11,400 feet. He's fairly bummed out about it. He's moving to Bend Oregon.

I know a guy here who has a cabin at 11,400. It is a real effort to walk from his driveway to the cabin. My carbureted Land Cruiser's tongue is hanging out when we get there. Beautiful country. Spruce and Bristlecone Pine. He offered to sell it to me, 14 acres including an abandoned Uranium mine. Still for sale although the cabin needs restoration.

I don't think I could handle it now. I was also water skiing 2 or 3 times a week at the time. And bicycling too, so my VE was great.
