I decided to give in and grab a few tins of Capstan Navy flake before the sky falls. Just getting a fiver, though. They're too proud of it for me to buy more than that.
Snagged a Nording freehand while I was at it. I had one back in my first piping life and I've kinda always missed it. This one's pretty similar.

With the news this week about Mac Baren and Sutliff, I went through my cellar inventory and topped up a few favorites. Arrived today are 20 Presbyterian, 5 Magnum Opus, and 4 Hogshead. I hope the blends don’t go away or change, but experience has taught me better safe than sorry. 😕

I have not purchased much in the last 6 or 7 months. I ordered my G.3 pouches enough to get me into next year. One factory seconds insulated Carhartt black bib overalls with zipper and snaps almost all the way to the hip on each leg. Now I am awaiting the most important package of the year so far. Two rdpipes bent sandblasted bulldogs. I have been eyeing Ron's pipes since shortly after joining the forum. Then Mr. Powell quit making pipes and I was bummed. Then the return of his pipes gave me hope but every time I got off work this season and got cell reception and saw "my pipe" it was already sold. Then he posted pictures of what was headed to the Texas pipe show so I messaged him and finally was able to obtain not one but two pipes. Thank you to Mr. Powell for working with me so I can now enjoy two of his beautiful pipes.

Thanks. It's at least somewhat similar to the one I had many years ago, and another sitter will come in handy.

The latest addition to my collection of meds. Beats something untreatable, I guess. Yeah, it's the antacid medicine for my esophageal problem.

Beats something untreatable, I guess. Yeah, it's the antacid medicine for my esophageal problem. I was using Pantoprazole for my stomach acid problems GERD (suggested by my doctor), I found out that taking that long term it has a cumulative bad effect...weaned off of it and now take OTC Pepcid, and it controls the stomach acids, no problem without long term issues. Your Mileage May Vary. One tiny pill for me daily does it.

If I can't tolerate them, I'll stop taking it and tell the VA to find something else for me.

Once I found out about it being a proton pump inhibitor and the long term issues, I moved on.

I had symptoms that made me wish I was dead. Think the Hulk grabbing the middle of the your chest and slowly ripping it out. All good since the meds.

Last week I ordered some of my favourite Sutliff and Country Squire tobaccos just in case. Guess what. The Canadian postal workers just went on strike today. Oh well. It's too cold to smoke outside anyway. Sour gripes (I mean "Grapes").

Ha Ha in true Patch fashion makes me take time to think on ways of paying it forwards, about the time I am almost caught up paying it forwards someone or several folks put me behind again but this is a good thing puts me in a positive mind to do for others as folks have done for me. When the not so nice folks do something my way just turn around and go the other direction and leave their negativity at their feet.

I ordered a set of fitted all-weather front floor mats for the car. This is my second order from Weathertech and they ship via FedEx so I should get the mats by mid-week.
