I saw Ohtani's slide into second base last night and I thought that he injured his wrist. I just read that he suffered a partial dislocation of his left shoulder.

From what's been in the news, Ohtani's been scheduled to play in game three. Yeah, he seems to be okay. Saw one quote that he was making an "astonishing recovery." Here's hoping he's 100%. Our bullpen's going to get stretched with 3 games in 3 days and the middle one a bullpen game, so we're going to need to score some runs. |

Ohtani's in the game but the question is will the Yankees be in the game? If the whole team, including Judge, doesn't get into playing the game, they may just get left in the dust by LA.

I think he's definitely in the running. I'd say he's definitely the leader right now. If this thing ends up going 6 or 7 games and one of our starters has another excellent performance, maybe it swings to them, but I'd say it's Freddie's right now, yeah. |

I have never cared for interviews of any kind during the game. The Guardians sportscasters interview people on camera in the broadcast booth and the game takes a backseat. |

One reason I have no desire to go to a live game.
Watching Yanks fans shaking sticky soda or beer on everyone near them.
Don’t want to drive home sticky or reeking of beer.

Welp. That's how a game where you use nothing but B-squad pitchers will tend to go. Same thing happened in game 5 of the NLCS. But you do it for a reason: to set yourself up with all your best arms on full rest for the next game. Dodgers just gotta execute.

A good start for the Yankees...Judge just hit a 2 run homer. And Jazz Chisholm followed up with a solo homer! 3-0 Yankees in the bottom of the 1st.

With apologies to our Yankees fans: Woooooo! The boys finally get to have that parade they couldn't have in 2020.
If that game doesn't demonstrate baseball being baseball, I don't know what game does. Baseball is the most unpredictable (often mystifying) of the major sports, and that game was utter madness from start to finish. Other than Cole pitching well, basically nothing about it was predictable.
