Tie game! Uh-oh...excrement! Yeah, I just saw that your closer coughed it up. He's having a rough series.

Poop. Sorry, Russ. They had a heck of a season. Yes, they did, and I congratulate the Guardians on making it to the playoffs with a new first year manager, Stephen Vogt. The Yankees were, as one commentator put it, "a wall" that Cleveland just couldn't get through. But I congratulate the Yankees on their win and and first World Series since 2009. I've been a Yankees fan since I was a kid growing up in NJ and have watched them play in both the old Yankee Stadium and once in Cleveland. As a Guardians fan, hey...if Cleveland can go that far in this season, I have big hopes for them next year. Now, on to the Series....Go Yankees!

It's down to the wire between the Dodgers and the Mets tonight. Although I would like to see a real "Subway" World Series between the Yankees and the Mets, I think the Dodgers are going to win the NLCS and face off against the Yankees. We'll see...whatchoo think urbino?

We'll see...whatchoo think urbino ? Haha. I gotta back my Dodgers, Russ! Of course they win it.
Rooting interest aside, they really should win it. They only need 1 of these last 2 games, both at home. Their starting pitching is thin, but the bullpen arms are all rested. Freddie Freeman is out of the lineup due to his ankle, which is a mixed blessing. You hate to have a guy like that go down, but he's been trying to play through it and he hasn't been terribly successful. Probably better to have somebody else in there. He might PH.

The Dodgers have the 4-1 lead in the bottom of the third. Urb, I think this game is starting to get away from Da Mets.

Hate the Dodgers for general principles. Mom was a Yankees fan so what can I say.

Dodgers/Yankees it is!

A big congrats to the Dodgers on winning the NLCS! Well, the Mets gave it everything they had and, Like the Guardians, there's always next year. On to the World Series! Go Yankees!

My wife loves the Yankees, Son in law took her to see Jeter and New York with my daughter and 2 grandchildren, I stayed home with Pemon, not a traveler, it was in 2011, after they went to Canada to see the waterfall. She loves New York, so she’ll be cheering for the Yankees! I Garronte!

Fernando Valenzuela dead at age 63. He was fantastic to watch, even though he always pitched for the competition. RIP.

By all accounts, he was a heck of a nice guy, too.

Sounds like the Dodgers will get Alex Vesia back for the WS. That's a big addition. He was one of their best relievers all season, and he adds a lefty arm out there. (OTOH, the Yankees apparently hit 4-seam fastballs pretty well, and that's his best pitch.)
