Happy Sunday! Started the day with a couple bowls of Haunted Bookshop in the Sunday cob and coffee. It's 52 and partly sunny here. Gonna be a day of relaxation today.

Good Afternoon! It's 54° with a high cloud cover and hazy sunshine out here on the deck. I'm smoking a bowl of Haunted Bookshop and there's a glass of cold water on the side. Have a great evening everybody!

Finishing the 40th Anniversary I started before bed in a hollow lattice reverse calabash snifter made for me by Mehmet Fatih. The detail on that is quite remarkable...Mehmet knows his craft, and it looks like purchasing his pipes avoids the "potholes" one can face on the Turkish meerschaum buying adventure. Just a guess, but the drilling is spot on!

Just a guess, but the drilling is spot on! Mehmet is a little unheard of but his pipes are outstanding. I had five meerschaums made for my 50th birthday and this one is the favorite. I love lattice carvings but when they're hollowed out, you know a master from an apprentice.

That is really good to know, I won a large brick and mortar estate auction some years back....I guess that the exterior passed muster (not saying much) but the drilling was horrible, thankfully they were unsmoked, so off to EBay, and I did take good pictures of the draft holes...figure some potheads probably ended up with them and were pleased...positive reviews an all.

He knew there was no point. Oh I was terrible at English but he was a good teacher. He grew up in NY NY in the Italian section. He is half Italian half Port o Rican and Vietnam Vet. He gave me my only Rhodesian that is older than I am and I enjoy it very much. Another time he gave me a very special cigar he bought 5 when his daughter got married and gave me one before my father passed. I smoked it the day my father passed, he and his wife attended my father's service. Just darn good people.

Pretty awesome that you are able to remain in contact with a teacher.
I am approaching 50 years since I graduated, so all my teachers left the scene long ago… I had a nomadic childhood, other than my cousins that I attended the same schools at points in time, I could not connect with anyone if I tried to. I probably attended 30 schools from K-12, thankfully not the case for my kids.
My wife is in a totally different place, via Facebook she keeps in contact with a lot of her schoolmates.

This was a long day for a Sunday. Over the past couple of weeks I’ve been renovating my laundry room in my sort of spare time. The washer and dryer were both in crazy places and it made most of the space in the room wasted, plus it was looking pretty dingy. I installed all new lighting, painted, re did the floor, totally re plumbed the room and finished the very last thing today, running all new gas pipes and hooking up the dryer. Although I still have all of the tools, parts and scraps to put away, I’m calling it done and a success. I’m sitting down with a celebratory bowl of late 1980’s Murray’s production Erinmore Mixture in my Savinelli 315KS.
