Finishing the 40th Anniversary I started before bed in a hollow lattice reverse calabash snifter made for me by Mehmet Fatih. I love the pipe but that tobacco blend is an absolute favorite. I have a few tins, but I’ll hopefully outlive them. I had a B&M owner tell me in the fall of 2017 that McClelland was on its way out. Let's just say I sunk more than a couple of hundred on 40th Anniversary when it was still $15/tin.

Good Morning! It's 47° with a cloudy sky here before first light. This afternoon I have to make a supermarket run. Starting off the smoking day with a bowl of HH Pure VA Flake in the Savinelli Venere 128 smooth billiard and there's a fresh travel mugga coffee tucked underneath my jacket. Have a good one everybody!

Up with the dogs this morning. As the coffeepot works it's magic, I've loaded P.S. Balkan Supreme in yesterday morning's Savinelli 177. I have a trip to the bank planned for late morning, and a doctor's appointment in the afternoon, the rest of the day I'll spend complaining about all the leaves I'll be fighting on Tuesday.

Good morning, I’m having a bowl of Squadron Leader in a Peterson bulldog. It’s a calm peaceful morning, partly cloudy and mild. Have a good one all.

Good Afternoon! It's 58°, cloudy, and damp here. I have one of the workshop doors wide open just to air the place out since it's not all that chilly right now. Currently smoking a bowl of fresh Wessex Brigade Campaign Dark Flake in the MM General cobwarden and there's a bottle of cold water on the side. Have a great evening everybody!

Good afternoon, just lit a a bowl of 22 Cringle Flake in a Ser Jacopo bulldog. It’s another warm sunny day here. I’m waiting on my wife’s return from a business conference in DC, so dinner will be something quick and easy like smash burgers. Since we redid the kitchen I can create a lot of smoke and the new hood can keep up with it, unlike the old one where doing fried burgers meant setting off the smoke alarms.

I felt like a reset day. I’m on my second bowl of straight Maryland leaf. There’s something I really like about it by itself. I’m smoking it in my Savinelli 315KS.

Good Morning! It's 53°, cloudy, and damp here. I woke up and couldn't get back to sleep, so I decided to come out to the workshop. This afternoon I'm going to just putter around and catch up on a few small chores. Getting the smoking day started with a bowl of HH Pure VA Flake in the Amorelli smooth bent Three Star and there's a fresh travel mugga coffee tucked underneath my jacket. Have a good one everybody!

I finished up a bowl of a homemade blend in the MM General cobwarden earlier. Taking a tip from Silver I mixed up a batch of +/- 50% Bayou Morning Flake and 50% Haunted Bookshop. I call this "Bayou Bookshop". It's a smooth, easygoing smoke that will get better with some time for the two ingredients to intermingle. The flavors of the VA, Perique, and burley compliment each other well without one being more dominant and I can taste a bit of each. A good combination!

Good morning, I’m having a bowl of Peretti’s Thanksgiving Day in a Sasieni rusticated billiard. I bought a few blocks of this in 2021 and vacuum sealed them. A little age seems to be fine on this blend. I hope you all have a good one.

I love when that happens; I've thrown together some real stinkers in my day, trying to fix blends that just weren't to my liking...now that I've grown up{hopefully} I color within the lines of flavor, burn rate, and packability that suit me, and my blending experiments work out much better. The final bowl of Triple Crown from an eight oz jar, in the Kristi freehand. Thank goodness there's a pint jar full and waiting in the tobacco cabinet!
