Good Afternoon! It's 57°, cloudy, and everything is wet from rain here in our town. I'm in the workshop again with one of the doors wide open to the fresh air. Currently smoking a bowl of Wessex Brown VA Flake in the MM General cobwarden with a bottle of cold water on the side. Have a great evening everybody!

Smoking some pipe force samples that I received a year ago at the West Coast Pipe Show in Vegas...forgotten about. Smoking Episode VI. In a diminutive Peterson Tankard, that only sees flake tobacco, it does so well with them. Full Va. Flake from 2009 earlier

This pipe tends to get a bit plugged once I'm past the halfway point. I've used my shank reamer on it and it doesn't find any material to bite, so I'm not sure what the issue is. Angle that the airway enters the bowl, maybe?

I wonder if a bit of pipe mud made from cigar ash to build up the bottom may help?
I dunno…

Good Morning! It's 51° here with a cloudy sky, dense fog, and hazy moonlight. This afternoon I'm getting together with a former Navy shipmate for lunch. Starting off the smoking day with a bowl of HH Pure VA Flake in the Savinelli Venere 128 rusticated billiard and there's a fresh travel mugga coffee tucked underneath my jacket. Have a good one everybody!

Angle that the airway enters the bowl, maybe? Sometimes a small bit of tobacco can get lodged in the airway right where it meets the bowl. What I do is to take a pipe cleaner and push it all of the way into the bowl to clear the airway. Might work for you.

I finished up a bowl of my Bayou Bookshop blend in the MM Mark Twain cob. I'm now smoking a bowl of Wessex Brigade Campaign Dark Flake in Sav that I smoked earlier. Time to sip some more coffee and check the headline news.

Good morning, having a bowl of Thanksgiving Day in a Peterson Dublin. We are finally due for some rain. I had some friends in Southern NJ almost lose their house to fire yesterday, they popped up being interviewed on the evening news. Luckily they were spared. Very odd drought conditions for this neck of the woods. Have a good one all.

My Morning Fog mix in a Brebbia bent apple. Happy 5000th post, Herb! Thanks Pete, That's a milestone that slipped up on me. This morning I'm finishing off another jar, one of three little jars of Morning Fog...looks like I'll have four empty jars by time Christmas rolls around; I'm sure the wife can take a hint by now... A big mug of the usual coffee sits next to my Peterson XL90,as it smolders in the pipe-rest.

Some 2018 Briar Fox in a strait stemed MM MT Danish. Coffee at the smoking table after trying to find room to put some of my tobacco bomb from Charlie in my hutch. Hutch is in the house, small nightstand like table is in the garage next to my smoking chair. Cleaned the dusty table and a few pipes. Light rain right now but the storm the weather folks says supposed to drop 12 and a half inches over the next week.
