When the whole world's a bottle, life is but a dram. But when the bottle gets empty, it sure ain't worth a damn.

Mountain Dew. Never grew out of it. Alcohol on the other hand, I gave up years ago. Way less hangovers now. Good for you sir, I too left the bottle behind and it's coffee and tea nowadays. Although I don't know about that Mountain Dew, stuffs got so much caffeine in it it gives me the jitters.

I start my day off with three cups of coffee. Generally that is followed by 3-5 Red Bulls or Monsters. Then water for a bit, then onto Mountain Dew in the evening, then water before bed.
Leftover bad habits from a life of sleep deprivation and military service...

More scorch. 3 more and I'll probably buy a pipe. That's what usually happens.

My ulcer will grab me by the throat and slam me. 3 cups a Joe a day one with each bowl is my limit nowadays. As far as bad habits go I've had to drop my share just because my body won't let me no more.

I know it's early, but I am having a Cuba Libre (about 1/2 way through it). I am going to sleep after this.

COFFEE! I have a new Keurig K-Compact single serve next to the desk. I usually use K-Cup dark roast coffee. I also have a purple filter which I can put whatever coffee I'd like into and brew with the Keurig. There is nothing like the smell of coffee brewing in the morning. It's icy tea in the evening, usually the brewed type. Dollar General brand quart size bagged tea.

Our scottsdale driver picks up free tea for me at the China Mist headquarters, and I get all the variations in the bulk packs...typically you only see the blend in restaurants for the most part. I can brew a gallon in my Bunn VPR in about three minutes. I bought the brewer new on Ebay in 2005 for $100, and it has never missed a beat....the plumbing inside is all copper and built for use...it is nice when making recipes where you need hot water, there is always two carafe's of really hot water on tap.

Lipton iced tea, and I'm not a fan of it, tried Luzianne, not much better. The iced tea I get at the local Chinese restaurant is my favorite but I can never get it out of them where they get it from.

Bunn makes bad-arse coffee makers. Great score!

Whisky sour made with some Pendleton Irish Whisky. I thought Pendleton was Canadian. Haha! Yeah, it is, I mis-typed. It most certainly is Canadian. I am used to having Irish Whisky, so it automatically typed Irish. Thanks for the correction don.

Hey Greg. Pendleton is lovely stuff. I think it is 100% rye. Have you had the Jamison's Caskmates aged in stout barrels? Quite nice. And not expensive either.

Don, I have not tried the Jamison Caskmates. I tried the "standard" Jamison's, but the Caskmates. I hope my local liquor store (i.e. Oregon liquor stores are all state run) will have it. Jamison's is a major enough name that they probably will. I was just at the store earlier, but I will check next week for it. Thanks for the recommendation, brother.

Jamesons are all good!
Me: Gift from my brother in Oz - The Yamizaki 12 year old single malt. Lovers of single malts could do well to explore the Japanese whiskys. They are really GOOD.

Our local Mexican food market regularly marks these down to .50 cents per bottle, just the right amount of spiciness.
