Did anyone actually try to listen to this music video, or just me??? Wether on here or directly on YouTube this music video is slow and distorted. Anybody else notice this issue? It's actually supposed to sound like that. These guys don't learn the song and play it in one take from memory while watching the video, all wearing headphones so they can't hear each other. I find the result strangely hilarious, especially for songs I'm not a fan of. Thought it was me.....it was both hilarious and awful at the same time!

Hey! Don’t we all listen to the Pipes Magazine radio show with Brian Levine each week? (If you don’t, you should) Van Halen Happy Trails and they did a pretty good version of You Really Got Me and Pretty Woman too!

I always thought... that one part sounded like a or David Lee Roth... didn’t think it was him until Brian revealed that it was. I still think that that the Muppets are underappreciated though.... Ron out of Texas, and Andre from Ireland seem to be the only two that can appreciate a good cover.

And it is comedy more than music. It is intriguing to hear the twists they go through to produce a complex piece of music on kazoos.

Here's another one of my favorites. This one was on my driving tape back to back with the original.

There's one example of a cover that was so much more than the original. The Immortal Patti Smith's "Gloria". I do like this previous version though

Good version, but the original I think the original is best.

Ronv69 and cgvt... I'm struggling to find a favorite. They're equally as good to me.

Good version, but the original I think the original is best. You think that the original is better than Patti Smith's? Or just the Standells? I do like Them better than the Standells, but I still really like Standells version. I think it's the psychedelic twist.

Since we're discussing it, and it's one of the best covers ever.

Here is sort of a cover of a much admired musical score. I found it interesting.

All Along the Watchtower was a Dylan original, but the big cover that counts was Jimmy Hendrix. I was never a Hendrix fan, so my favorite cover is Robin Trower's. This has been covered by everyone so there's plenty of choices

Okay, I am going to break some news here... maybe!
I glanced through all the pages since the first post on Bob Dylan's Knockin' on Heaven's Door and the only replies I saw were about Guns n Roses. I make not an iota of judgment on the worthiness of either minstrel singing better than the other. I do take issue with the original source. Is there anyone that can listen to @lonecoyote Dylan post and recognize that as Bob Dylan? I am no expert on him, but when I listened I heard the little voices from above say, "Nay nay taye. It's not Bob Dylan." Geez, it didn't really sound like Dylan. I am not into Herd Mentality, but I also don't want to part ways with my buds here. So, I smoked some Nightcap, inhaling it to my lungs, holding on for ten seconds each draw. Then I listened to Sergeant Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band LP over and over while watching the screensaver of little fishies swimming across the screen, while Luca Brazi slept on the bottom. I made a decision: I must locate the missing Dylan! Ladies and Gentlemen, after backbreaking work and eardrums full of Lucy in the Sky with Diamonds, I bring you ..... BOB DYLAN!!!!

David, I just listened to the supposed Original by Bob Dylan Knock, knock, knocking on Heavens door I posted directly from YouTube.....it’s DEFINITELY not Dylan....did not pick up Dylan’s special twang. The version you just posted sounded like Dylan’s Original...that Dylan twang was very noticeable. Headphones 🎧 make a big difference, much better then listening through an iPad speaker!!!
I’m the first to admit whoever posted that as Dylan’s Original was half in the bag! If not for my headphones I would not have noticed!!! Sounded nothing like Dylan with my headphones on!

It fooled a lot of the people commenting, but someone named the artist. I thought it sounded like Randy Newman. Anyway, it's actually a good cover of the song, and with Dylan you may have a problem putting some of his songs online. He gets them removed. That is one song, btw, I don't mind the extra covers. I like all of them, and no, I am not running for election anywhere

I don't know enough of Bob Dylan to recognise a fake, but wow... That's some observation, @cosmicbobo.

I like this cover as much as the original, probably because of the timing and significance of the recording. Warren Zevon's last album, Against the Wind, was made when he was in the final stages of lung cancer. Randy Mitchell's slide guitars is haunting and appropriate. BTW, it is a great album.

Edit to the above post^^^^ Warren Zevon's last album was The Wind, not against the wind. (it was early )

I can't say better, but pretty damn close:
This one though, I think is way better than the original. And I love the Beatles.
And one just for the hell of it...
