Drove back to Knightdale from North Raleigh with buckets of water dropping from the sky. So many accidents due to people not knowing how to avoid flooded roads.
Tomorrow taking the ex to her doctor and Monday starts with me, Iām off Saturday & Sunday šššš

Glad to hear everyone's safe. Glad to see Josh is making Turkey Fryer coffee.
The best Turkey Fryer coffee I ever had was while chasing down the rare Kluwanta bird in rural Vietnam. It was made by the local coffee shaman from kopi luwak beans (digested through a civet, pooped, and then dried and roasted).
That never happened. But, I'm glad Josh made coffee "the old fashioned way". Jeremiah Johnson would be proud.

I like my coffee that way, it's just time consuming. Worth every minute though.

I've watched something about that Cramptholomew, I'd give it a try. One of the electric companies here has trouble with one of their feeder lines and the whole city next to us is blacked out. They're working on the paved road that leads to my clay road so maybe we wont be without power too long. Hard telling though, our lines are laying in the road. It's a nice "cool" (73) night and the temp is slowly dropping. Had a nice chat with the neighbor while smoking a pipe. Without the light pollution from the "city" the stars look amazing. I also saw one of the brightest and longest shooting stars I have ever seen in my life. Life is good.

Hi all...our home appears to have made it through...no power in 97% of Tallahassee, Florida...staying in Kentucky for a while ...no reason to go back with no power...massive devastation just west of us. Hope josh is OK...just now able to log on to WiFi...back on later this evening. In hills of Kentucky...puppy is so stressed...had to take her to vet today. Gave what little gas at the house to neighbor for his generator...I'm not there so I don't need the gas ...no gas in Tallahassee...will bring mine back with me from Kentucky. Hoping all other friends in tall. Are OK...back later to the patch later this evening. Thanks for your prayers..they worked and the Lord kept our home safe...neighbors have lost roofs and are suffering with no power and exposed houses. We will stay in Kentucky for a while til power is restored...may be weeks...been there, done that, too. @lonecoyote - this is the last we heard from him, about 13 hours ago. He seems to be ok.

People have tents set up in one of the schools parking lots. Lots of people lost a lot of things. They've been bringing food and water to them daily. I like seeing communities pull together to help out.
We have electric companies from many states working on our lines and then heading to different towns to do the same. So far I've seen trucks from Michigan, Pennsylvania, Kansas, Arkansas and Oklahoma.
In time life will return to normal.

They just got our power back on. Somewhere around 6 days without it. I'm very thankful that electricity and some food are the only things that I lost.
