I looked into these Tabac Manil blends, looks like something I'd love to try!

For me, it's a tie among Lane, Sutliff, and Peter Stokkebye.

In what is now "the old days", it was Dunhill and McClelland's. Today it's STG/Orlik.

Because I have a very favorite tobacco doesn't mean I have a favorite tobacco manufacturer. Wish I did but, what the last manufacturer did to my favorite tobacco still leaves me in a tiff. If they'd just manufacture it and quite thinking of ways to make it cheaper and screwing it up I'd be happy but, they don't do that. In fact NO manufacturer of anything does anymore so before I get started I'll cut myself off at that.

Really hard to say ...in the past Dunhill, PS, SG, Charles Fairmorn, McClelland & Russ Ouellette's creations made up a good portion of my cellar.
Obviously Dunhill & McClelland blends are no longer being made and my cellar has expanded.
Today GL Peace, C&D, Sutliff, SPC, STP, Lane, Ashton, Orlik and MacBaren etc. blends are gaining along with a few new and choice offerings from the manufacturers mentioned above. I also enjoy Germaine/Escoterica and G&H though they consists of a few jars and tins due to cost and/or available stock. Hopefully with the finalized merger of G&H and SG, we will see more of their blends returning to market.
Summary I guess I really have no favorites except blends that my palate finds pleasing. The second criteria is cost which plays hand in hand with cellared blend percentages.
Note: I acknowledge some companies/blends are owned/made by others on my list like MacBaren - Sutliff/C&D- GL Pease respectively.

For me it was always Dunhill. Even under different ownerships.
Now I've completely gone over to C&D, sutliff, and my old codger blends like PA, in that order.
I'm so mad at Dunhill. Stupid ties and knickknacks to sell in airports. For real?

Post McClelland it has to be whoever manufactured Former’s Cross Grain Flake. Apart from Tudor Castle it was and still is my favorite tobacco. A pity it’s no longer is being produced. Seems I may have read that Dan Tobacco was the manufacturer. Anyone know for sure?
