No. That is not me but Roger Carmel, the actor who played Harcourt Fenton Mudd on Star Trek back in the 1960s. Why him? No reason other than I enjoyed his character and he was smoking a pipe.

Just changed it and it’s turned antigoggle, don’t know how to fix! You look just fine when I turn my iPad around....lol When you upload your avatar make sure the picture is right side up. |

my avatar is Eva Green as Miss Peregrine from the movie Miss Peregrine's Home for Peculiar Children. It is a very cool movie and I loved her character. Her most outstanding characteristic, which I think even overshadowed the fact that she could turn into a peregrine falcon, was that she smoked a pipe. Just seemed to be perfect. This is our favorite scene from the movie:

Not sure what my dear old mother was thinking, but I was raised on horror films. These and the Friday the 13th films are among my first pop cultural memories and had a pretty profound affect on me. haha To this day, I see the ocean- I think shark is going to eat me. I see a dirty old barn or shack near a wood- I think Jason is going to impale me with a pitchfork. |

Mine is me walking through the woods behind my house. I always use a picture of me for my avatar because it makes it easy to meet people from forums at pipe shows.

Found this in an article about “Remember back in the 70’s when you could?” And smoking on an airplane was one of them I do remember that, and after I stopped smoking cigs, I was really aware of the smoke from the rear of the cabin being circulated to the front. Too bad we couldn't have stopped at a reasonable mid point: No smoking on planes or in hospitals or churches, but fine in bars and restaurants who o.k.'ed it. |

Found this in an article about “Remember back in the 70’s when you could?” And smoking on an airplane was one of them I always found "Smoking Sections" on an airplane a bit hilarious. The only thing separating "Smoking" from "Non-Smoking" was the seat backs on that row. Pity those folks, bothered by smoke, who sat in the first row of "Non-Smoking". And, it's not like you could leave. |
