Max Headroom is a hilariously bad movie, but I love it. The character is one of my favorite characters in all of fiction, so I'm using him until I get a good picture of myself.
BTW, Great username It really was. I listened to a podcast about the Max Headroom incident before I watched the movie, actually. Really good stuff.
Hah hah. Yours, too. A4 have any significance for you?

Since i first took this up, whenever i smoke if i get a chance i either film or snap a picture of myself to see if im doing it right. That just happened to be the meerschaum i just bought and lit up for the first time. The stem was amber in color.
Also photoshop a lot of those pictures cause the effect of black and white with the only color being the orange glow of the bowl is worth the disease i may get down the line.

for benefit of newbies: Have given permission more than a few times for any moderator(s) transfer this to the "avatar" box. From '01, taken by the luthier who made the instrument (5-string violin/viola). He created an "album" called "Flicker" & stuck it in there. I only dress "Western" when out on a band gig. About the same xcept two things, no glasses needed after got rid of my "Cadillacs" 6 yrs ago and 2. the "stash" longer, down to the chin and mostly gray. We don't have a working camera anymore & no way, if did, could transfer pics to anywhere. if can't see this, no can provide anything recent. www.facebook.com/ed.duncan.52Ed Duncan, Batavia, NY pipe/cigar since '62 Did you see the pm I sent you?

First game I hosted for the local poker crew. All night long it seemed like Ace and Four would hit the board. It was statistically goofy. From that point on that pair has been named for the town I live in.

That is a picture of me holding my beloved Gertie at the drive-in sbout two months before she died. She slowly started to lose use of her legs and we bought her a wheelchair. One night we were in the back yard and she just wasn't herself and my son said she has given up.The next day afterI let the dogs outside to do dog things I went to bring them back in and Gert was on her side not moving. I went to pick her up.. she looked at me and took her last breath in my arms.

So sorry...it is so painful to see them give up...our last (St. Pierre) was a rescue that "packed" up with his new brother and sister when we brought him home....all was well for 8 years. Then his sister went (congestive heart failure), then a year later his brother went (spinal stenosis...just like me)...when his brother went, sweet Pierre just gave up on living...as much love as we gave him he wanted his "pack"...so he went over the Rainbow Bridge and is now buried in the grave next to his brother and sister. (I promised them all they would always have this home...in life and in death, that is where they are).

Maine residents have the upper hand. I’ve been there numerous times. It’s absolutely heartbreaking. So much love, both ways. My condolences.

That didn’t take long. “Chimney Pond Tales” is a collection of stories by Leroy Dudley. He was my best friend’s uncle. My buddy Wilton passed on last year, but I’ve never met another who could tell a story like him; I guess he got it from his Uncle Leroy. What an imagination!! baxterstatepark.org/product/chimney-pond-tales/

Welcome to the Patch, Pamola! Darin - shoot me your mailing address, ....and Thanks For Playing!! Thanks! I first heard of the tale of Pamola through the book “Chimney Pond Tales" which I discovered while checking out the Mt. Katahdin area. There was an outdoor clothing / gear maker of the same name that led me there, I believe. I've been a long time hiker / camper and love good "camp stories" as well. Plus ... Roy was a pipe smoker, to boot! Welcome to the forum, peeps, and thanks for the fond memory and fun contest!
