That’s very sad. I was hoping to be able to get his dad’s Walther back to him. I’m pretty sure it formed a part of his learning to shoot. I guess I’ll have to revise. Did he have a son?

But if it's any consolation, he felt that he had too many guns. Of course one of the last posts I saw of his he was wishing for a 1903 Colt. I think it just happened so maybe there will be an obituary in a couple of days. I haven't seen any posts about wife or kids.

Really hard to process that Skeeter’s SON is dead. It’s really true that the older you get the more dead people you know.

Really hard to process that Skeeter’s SON is dead. It’s really true that the older you get the more dead people you know. I feel it too. I met an old guy who looked like he was on his last legs. I need to remember that most people my age are dead when I get frustrated that I can't do everything I want to do. If I get any details I'll post the info. I looked at his recent FB posts and it looks like he was reflecting on life a lot so maybe he knew it was coming. His DAD has been gone 35 years!

Skeeter’s gun writing is still my favorite of all time. Sorry to hear that Bart has passed.

George Burns lived to 100. When he attended events where he was expected to speak he often said “I’m glad to be here tonight. At my age I’m glad to be ANYWHERE!” It always got a big laugh.
