Pork loin cooked slow all day in a crock pot with both sweet potatoes and russet potatoes. Candied carrots baked in the oven, and bread toasted with parmesan cheese. Washed it all down with sweet tea. Oh my gersh. I am starving right now!

Breakfast was the rest of my Yorkshire Pudding which collapsed into a nice eggy pastry. Topped with butter and Strawberry Jam. I gotta make more this when I have eggs again. That is always the limiting factor-- eggs. More chickens? Chickens seldom survive here long. Too many foxes, coyotes, dogs, hawks, owls, eagles. They need a large caged area with roof which is built for convicts. Then they are not reliable here owing to weather. If one wants to do the whole indoor chicken raising operation.... No me.

Hopefully have a long time friend over for dinner tomorrow. Chicken fajitas and beef fajitas is exactly what I am making! 😃 store bought food just doesn't compare to homemade.

The hot springs are about a good hour's drive north of here. I wonder..... Gator Ranch there.

I honestly can't even remember what I have eaten. It's been a hodgepodge of leftovers from the holiday. I look forward to some basic boring food soon, lol.

I think my daughter is in the kitchen making a bowl of chicken salad that we're gonna spread on crackers and eat while watching a movie.
Pinterest is gonna have a lot to answer for one of these days...

Thank goodness the leftovers are almost done! Yeah we killed off the prime rib on steak sandwiches auJus again. We are spoiled. Asians don’t bemoan the fact they are eating rice again. First world bellyaches.

You lost me at K-cup coffee but at least the grits are real and the wrong kind. You are forgiven. Go in peace, my son.

Bread dough on the rise in the oven set at 100 degrees. Too cold otherwise!!!
1/2 King Arthur WHole Wheat and 1/2 generic All Purpose flour because that is all I had. Butter milk and butter added.
About four hours of fermentation than baking in the pan. It will come pout fine but will not win any prizes.
I have 15 pound of KA flour on order. Hard to get in town. Their Bread Flour is the stiffest I have seen. 12.7 per cent protein guaranteed. Wow! that makey a mighty gluten!!!!!

Steak bowls for supper...the leanest bits of leftover prime rib, added to fried taters and onions, and finished with 6 eggs scrambled in. Fed three with a small leftover bowl...we had a pot of hazelnut decaf for a chaser...happy faces all around!
