I replaced the glow plug controller on the 7.3 this morning. It was a simple fix, but Im a little disgruntled that the bad one was less than a year old. My 79 Ford had a computer box that was so wonderful that I carried a spare all of the time and changed it on the side of the road! I was a Ford guy for years, but I don't remember why.

After much sawing with 4 different types of saw, the new refrigerator is in place. We have refrigeration! We have refrigeration! 😁 🤠 Just like the city folk! 😁 Ice too!❄️🧊🧊❄️ And a fancy water squirter thingy!💧💦 I am so happy!!! 🤤🐱😻😀😎💓💓💕 Can't tell you how thrilled I am that you got it fixed.....no, really, can't tell you. It is the simple fixes that keep us thinking that we really can do this. Personally, I've given up and have someone else fix it, cause I know my limitations.....all too well...and too many bruises. I didn't fix the refrigerator, I bought a new one, the only one we could get in less than six weeks. I just enlarged the hole so it would fit. In normal times I would have simply bought a slightly smaller fridge.

The kids and the 10 year old grandson spent the afternoon. Grampa here got to do water color painting, a little video gaming, and burgers and fries. Sure glad my wife gave me grandkids.

[ Brown outs reported in Cass county Tx blamed on new comer with modern appliances near Linden. Yesterday when Beta was blowing through the lights flickered twice. Not enough to reset the electric timers or lose the TV station. In Humble the power was off for hours.

I replaced the glow plug controller on the 7.3 this morning. It was a simple fix, but Im a little disgruntled that the bad one was less than a year old. Do you mean the Glow Plug Relay located on top of the engine? That is a classic weak part with the 7.3. I have had to replace it several times over the 21 years we been together.

Each make has its up and downs. I owned more Fords than other makes and always had good luck with them.

That's the one I am not sure why that fails so often. I keep a spare in the truck. Fortunately, it is easy to replace, just annoying when trying to get somewhere.

Sitting in the Sacto airport.
Three challenging days behind me, called on accounts in Napa, Santa Rosa, Healdsburg, Novato, San Rafael, San Anselmo, Mill Valley, Corte Madera, Union Coty, Hayward, San Leandro, Oakland, Berkeley, Richmond, Pinole Rodeo, Vallejo, and back to Dixon. 40 hours in 3 days. Parking a rig in Anselmo at a layover was interesting, I had to grease the sides of the trailer to get it to fit in a legal park spot. Did a 5 day run in 3 days thanks to a superstar that was a huge help. Going home, off to Denver on Monday, and drive back to PHX with no work on the way back.

I spent much of my youth in Healdsburg from 1961 to 1970. A great town back then. I have not been there since the mid 1980s. I imagine it has grown some.

Lots of towns in California remain old school just unaffordable. I am amazed at how so much of the state is really run down compared to the 80’s when I moved there. The smoke from fires was everywhere in the north bay. Flying over the mountains behind Fresno was something else.

That was all clear cut back around 1860 for timbers in mines. It will grow back better than ever. To bad it was not a controlled burn or managed properly to begin with.
