Happy Birthday Ron. Remember 70 is the new 50. So you got a long way to go. Hobbling, stumbling, aching, drooling, babbling. I will be right there with you as will many of us here in the patch. In the meantime, enjoy this day

Thanks to all for the birthday wishes. I zoned out until 1pm, then put up the bedroom wall lamps and bedside dimmers, put up some shelves in the laundry/utility room, cut and burned a pile of limbs and garbage and some other chores. Had a decent day all in all. 😁🤠

Cold front blew in early this morning with noise and fury. Need to pick up the limbs most likely. Supposed to be in the 70s all week. 😁🤠 ☀️☀️☀️

The coolest September in the last fifteen years of living in the Houston area of the gulf coast. The winds are kicking with a promise of 55 degrees in the morning.

I made a much needed trip to Kroger this morning, we were out of about everything...I'm sick of the mask thing ,so it takes a lot to make me leave home. Once I got a truckload of food-stuffs unloaded and put away, I headed for a haircut at Great Clips. When I returned home I had to give a password to get in the house; even the dogs didn't know who I was!

At the airport... constant preaching about social distancing and mask mandates on the PA system.
But they close half the TSA checkpoints and gates, making sure that the other half of the gates are packed with people rendering social distancing null and void.
After one flight departs, people stream in to fill the seats, and not a single custodian with sanitizer spray in sight to wipe anything down.
On the flights under cdc mandates, no sodas, no alcohol will be served. So they serve cups of water and bags of peanuts.🙄
It is all so arbitrary, lacking common sense, and feeelings of goodwill inform the people that write policy.
The rest of us are the dumb sheep that need to be herded.
Probably not a good idea to fill my gut with beans yesterday, knowing I had a flight today!

This happens to me every time I have the backseat of the truck loaded with groceries. The wife runs in and hands me the dog and disappears. I just unload everything and let the dog do her business all while being careful not to slip and fall then go into the house just as the rain stops. You are not alone.

Beautiful day here in NE Texas. I mowed the acre, put up a electric service panel in the barn, had the AC service man over to check out the heater. (it was in good shape except for a couple of acorns,) Been waiting all day for a delivery of lumber from lowe's. The only thing they gave me was between 8am and 8pm. 5:30 and still no lumber.

Those home deliveries are often delayed. I also do my own electrical. I enjoy it. Plumbing not so much. Electrical work is handy with the tools and screws and contemplative as you figure out the circuits in the panel. Plumbing is just messy with glue and solder. Years ago I took classes in Electrical Wiring at the Community College from a Master electrician, one of a long line. That got me past the notion of ghosts in the wires and hexes at the panel. Ubba Gooba!

I did the same last Spring and for the same reasons. Two cylinder pump. Used it one time for an ATV. 10 ply tires on the truck and Land Cruiser.

You can always have your tires foam filled but the ride may suffer.
