Got my internet back up, ATT guy was good and ran a new line in the junction box at the street earning him a frosty Dr Pepper. This is third visit in less than year keeping the line up. The phone lines around here are so old they are made of hammered bronze.

It is nice to open the doors to enjoy a cool 64 degree morning. It will get to 104 degrees today, but when we start getting cooler nights and mornings, it really is a welcome change.
Physically and financially.

Very pleasant, sunny, cool morning. After attending Sunday service, I plan on sitting all afternoon in my rocker on the front porch, sipping coffee and enjoying the company of a good cigar. Or two.
Outside of particular responsibilities, Sunday is my "not today" day, as much as is possible.

It's really nice weather here too! 😁

If you use your AC all but one month out of the year you might be living in the gulf coast.

An elderly neighbor couple (80s and 90s) are moving to Oaxaca, Mexico. They held a big sale this weekend to sell off their stuff. I bought a few things, not needing much. They aim to die down there in the warmth and away from our miserable winters. Cannot blame them. Life here is extremely hard if one does not have a large family and they do not. There is no help from any other source. No one to hire and the state could not care less about old people.

There are many "expat" communities that are both safe and affordable. I've got to say though, IMHO, 80's and 90's is not the time to try a move that big.

And you can keep your guns and tobacco when moving there.

That is a very nice area, for sure … perhaps twice as much or more per month to live versus Mexico but very nice. I recall seeing a lot of wineries down there too if you like that sort of thing.

Got the wife home from the hospital in the late afternoon today. Had both knees replaced. Everything went fine. She ended up staying 3 days. She can walk some with a walker. Need to keep up on the pain meds.
She said to thank everyone for the prays and well wishes.

At the sale of my neighbors moving to Mexico, I bought a high class Japanese kitchen knife and spent an hour sharpening it. Promptly cut my finger on the razor like edge.

Best wishes and really stay on top of the pain meds...take them about an hour before the last med wears off to keep continuity. It is a real bitch if you miss the timing...will feel like a train has hit you.

I went to the phone company today to get some information..My Samsung 5 is 6 years old.The volume on YouTube is half gone.I don't know if it's going to hang in there much longer..It's looking like I might have to upgrade before long..Another learning process.

I went from Samsung to an Apple phone Larry , no looking back for me. The thing is a tank, and the battery life is incredible. After you are familiar with it, you will never want another android. Off again to San Diego tomorrow.
I took a road test with a company a week ago, hoping to get on with a company doing local runs, great pay and benefits. Which, I have now without the local run aspect.
That fleet manager is on vacation, so in a week or so I should hear the word.
Cautiously optomistic.

I have the Razr Flip I can promise you it is the most complicated phone known to man kind. It also does strange things like turn the screen off and it uses Google and the first time you hook it your computer Google takes over your life. Sound quality and range are great and it is a very good tether when the internet goes down. Now anyone that has my number already knows I do not answer the phone as I did that enough to last a lifetime when I was still able to work.
