Had 2 dogs that terrorized the neighborhood, was working turnaround nights. Wife told me neighbor had let loose 2 big dogs and they were even afraid to get the mail. That night we attended a wake for a good friend, came back at 10:00 pm tried to open van door and those 2 were growling , snarling, got my 45 opened the door and almost touched the side of one and blew him away, the other one ran away. Next morning Sherriff deputy wanted to cuff me for shooting the dog, got on the horn and talked to the Captain, my wife did his wife's hair. Captain called his man away, they hauled the dog to check for rabies, never heard anything any more.

My uncle Weldon rode bikes for 70 years and never had a accident then three blocks from the house a big ol mutt put him and Georgie down and in the hospital with a set of matching broken hips. I miss ol Weldon he was a great mechanic that would tune my bicycle wheels, tell stories of how he milled heads with a file on his flat top ford, endless stories of work on Bell Helicopters his best story was Amarillo to Vegas one weekend and on time for work on Monday morning. This was 1948 on old route 66 with bias tires and probably bald on top of it all.

Thought this was funny. Had to go look at damaged 2020 Yamaha V-Star 250 today. Not too bad it is repairable which is always a good thing. Then I read the facts of loss and other statements. Rider was trying to get away from a dog that was chasing him and went head on into a telephone pole. The rider is ok, but according to the witness after the impact the roder was unconscious. Then stated that the dog came and peed on the rider. ๐ Brilliant.

Went with wife to Walgreens, Boy Howdy was that a mistake, weโre all suited up, gonna take the flu shot, workers behind the Pharmacy counter working their butts off. People dragging in, no masks, no gloves. Gal doing wifeโs papers needs the new Medicare card. Old one has been good for 15 yrs, they are doing that to confuse us old folks and get rid of us. Need more info she says to wife, I tell the wife whatโs the use of her computer if we have to do her job. She looks pissed, I got her, told her didnโt have to give that much info when they sent me to S Asia to get shot, they did give me a finger job , at least youall not doing that. By that time clerk and wife are pissed at me. Wife says I ainโt going anywheres any more with you. I know when to shut up!

Went to get my flu shot today too. Made a 1 PM appointment on the CVS website. Showed up at 5 til 1 and told them I was there for my shot. They looked at me like I was nuts - and said something like "really?". Then the pharmacist said "I'm going to lunch. Come back after 2:00." Well FU too, I thought. Then went to the checkout for a couple things I wanted to buy and there was no one there. Waited a couple minutes, then walked out.
Went down the street to Walgreens and got the flu shot with no problems - or attitude.

Next morning Sherriff deputy wanted to cuff me for shooting the dog, got on the horn and talked to the Captain, my wife did his wife's hair. Captain called his man away, they hauled the dog to check for rabies, never heard anything any more. I had a situation with a mangy stray dog hanging around my house years ago. It was a German Shepard. It was fighting with my St Bernard and stealing her food. Animal Control couldn't catch it. One day, I was backing out of my front door and almost tripped over the dog. It was as surprised as I was, I think. It must have been sleeping on the cool shaded concrete pad there. Anyway, it spurn around and bit me pretty good on the calf. That was it for me. I went back into the house and got my double barrel 12 gauge. I still didn't want to kill it though, so I pried open two plastic shells, poured out all the shot, then put 3 - 4 beads of shot back into each shell. Then tried to close up the shells. I opened the side door and stepped out onto a porch. The stray ran by about 30' away moving right to left. He had heard me, but was looking back toward the front door. By then it was getting dark. I brought the gun down and started leading him, when I heard the shot rolling down the barrel!!!!! I decided I better shoot before the shot was gone - so I did - both barrels. It looked like a flamethrower in the dark!!!!! The dog didn't make a sound. It just dropped and died instantly right there.

Going to add a new member to the family tomorrow. It's been a couple of years since our 16 year old Jack Russel passed away. This girl will never get too big. Maybe 10 or 11 lbs at most. It's a "Teddy Bear" dog. A mix between a Shih Tzu and a Bichon Frise, I think.

It seems that the "working from home temporarily" has turned into "working from home until you retire". The firm decided that they didn't need as much office space as they had, so when the lease expired they got a new place with less space. I guess that I will be converting that new cargo trailer into a combination office and radio shack...LOL. As long as I'm out from under my spouse's feet, that's all that matters. Does not sound like a bad deal. As long as, as you said, you can keep out from under your spouse's feet.

I just need her to be able to sing, dance, clean, practice her french language skills, and watch Crikut videos to her hearts' content. With that, my life is pretty dang wonderful.

Remember to wash it's face in the morning (damp cloth to brush the hair back out of it's eyes)...will save you some $$ as hair in the yes can cause other "issues" Congratulations on your new "family" member.

Two neices and their husbands voted for the other party today. I still love them, but I am rather let down. I will never have the respect for their intellectual abilities. A lot of people with college degrees think they are smarter than the guy who doesn't wear a tie to work. I don't know why and all evidence shows the contrary. A degree makes you a good student. No point there as one niece graduated college and one didn't.

Waiting until Election Day to cast my ballot. We have one polling place here with three of four Poll Ladies. They do not get many voters with the early voting in town at the Court House and the mail-in ballots. So, I will wait and visit them. We have about 152 registered voters here.

It was a party like atmosphere at the poles here the other day. Everyone was laughing and joking in line. I love this place.

I noticed something today. For weeks I have been plagued by texts from both the GOP and DNC and yet they stopped the day I voted.
Hmm...

I have already voted by mail. Much easier than standing in line. Now just as long as the Militias don't hijack the mail trucks and hold them for ransom.

Driving back home to Washington today. We take the scenic route north up Idaho 95, through Hell's Canyon and across the Nez Perce reservation. Its slower, but a much nicer drive. Probably take us about 7 hours. I dont drive fast.
