Well, seeing as I'm in Kansas, I feel obligated to watch the Chiefs/SF tomorrow, even though the Chiefs are in Missouri and I'm physically closer to Denver. I have to admit that watching Patrick Mahomes is fun, he can do some crazy things with a football.

Had breakfast at TicToc then took the sternwheeler to the Chaulmett Battlefield. Sunny but really cold and windy today. Walked a couple of miles in the French Market and now off to the party. Really feeling old today.

I have tickets for the Alan Parsons project in PHX tomorrow night, I am dispatched in Vegas to drop at our company facility ( 2 hours north of Vegas) with a 12:30 PM appointment... I will be at the dock at 7AM hoping to get moved up the roster... Fingers crossed. I can fly over and use the tickets for you. 😁 I made it to the concert with 30 minutes to spare.... I fueled up the truck at the Alien brothel and cafe, non stop back to Phoenix in the truck and met the wife and daughter who took Uber there and met me. The concert was fantastic, but it would have been nice to unwind a bit before the show. Grilled hot dogs and burgers for two of my granddaughters combined birthday party today.

Working on my taxes. You know what happens when you travel to different states to work horses, like I did last year? You gotta file taxes in each state. Plus your federal. I have filed 4 tax returns today. Im not happy

It's been bitter here the last few days. Did a graveside funeral this afternoon and I almost froze to death myself. Umbrellas were blowing inside out etc too. Thankfully it was only for 5 minutes. I'm really missing my pipes too. I know I could go into the shed, but it's a mess and so freakin cold that it puts me off. I'll wait until better weather but I sure can't wait until the sun comes out a little stronger. sounds like you need a little heater for that shed. it's been a few weeks since i've been out too.

Ireland has some weather. The cold gales blowing off the Atlantic. There was a reason women would wrap themselves up in a long wool shawl. that is what can withstand the wind and rain. so that day was bitter and with sleet etc. The next day was 14 degrees (57F). Ireland weather is certainly strange. sounds like West Virginia weather

hubby was home sick today. he was getting better, but now he's got kind of a nasty cough. Me, too. Coughing up Spit Pea soup. Feel terrible. Why if it was not for George Dickel Number 12, I might have to go to bed! Hope your man recovers soon and completely.

Even though I miss my pipes, I'd rather wait for better weather than have to shower after I indulge.

I think he needs his special apple cider tonight.

I have a shed, but no power to it so when it gets cold its still too cold. BUT My loving wife has allowed me to have a pipe now and then at my desk in our bedroom, with the window open. As long as I don't make a habit out of it it doesn't seem to be making the room smell, and she does enjoy the smell of my pipe while I smoke it.

Snowing has not stopped.
Forecast is for more snow and temperatures overnight to drop down into negative double digits.
I will not be going anywhere for a while, probably not until Spring......

Good Morning, Pipers. Happy Wednesday,
Another foot of snow yesterday and morning temperature is -14 degrees (F). That is colder than I expected but not unusual.
The bad news is someone swiped ,y snow shovel which was by the front gate along the road. I have to dig out the snow to open the 12 foot gate for egress. I wish people would not do that but that is the way here. You need something? Go steal it. Anyway, I had an old D-Handle Grain Scoop and that served. Sadly, that snow shovel and me worked together in Virginia, Massachusetts, New York, and California before coming here. We saw some mighty snows over 40 years.

Expecting bad weather tonight, Mid America and East Coast watch out. 67 degs, S Wind 10 to 15, building over the day. wife took her Prius in yesterday for oil and filter change, told her change the engine and cabin air filter. The dealership just did a multimillion redo, they changed the cabin air filter located behind glove compartment, now wife says she’s got a rattle she didn’t have before, they didn’t have the engine air filter. Can you believe that, now I get an email how will you rate our service, didn’t work can’t leave comments, doesn’t surprise me. Old Service Manager gone, new Kids in, wife says even though they are somewhat friendly they don’t make you feel like Charlie did. Told her they are used to texting on their phones , don’t talk a lot. At lest her Guy was nice when I called and said he would take care of her, maybe he’ll come around.

In from morning chores. +14 degrees (F) with wind out of the southwest. Cold! Snow is deep, hard to drag the sled with the hay bales for the critters. Water tanks frozen up good but I was able to empty the ice and refill them. Hard walking through the snow so I use a tall cane to help keep balance. Winter is here for real this year.

Leaving in the morning for NE Texas for 10 days. It will be cool to cold, but not THAT cold. We are going to experience living in a small town. And do some home shopping.

Today was another rainy day here in Carolina..It's supposed to continue through Friday..The weather folks say we will get about 4 inches of the wet stuff before it stops...At least it isn't snow..Four inches of rain converted into snow would be a lot of snow.
