I called American Home Shield about the heater and they are supposed to be sending someone out. We've had a policy from them before and it was worthless. That was 15 years ago so I will give them a try. The people we bought the house from threw it in unasked. Sorry nothing worked. There are days like that. Good luck with the new approach.

We have gas logs in 2 fireplaces that we hadn't tried, so I moved some boxes and lit the one in the den. It worked fine. Along with the gas cooktop we were toasty .

Damn Ron, you’ve got me tired just hearing about your trials and tribulations, crossing my fingers you and family have a smooth journey from now on. Oh I canceled my Drs appointment for a scheduled checkup, gal in office asked why, I said Honey the Corona that you drink is the only one that I want.

After the standard busy morning taking 2 services, the rest of my Sunday was chilled. We had the fire on, made pizza and watched movies. Great day all round. Today the reset switch has been flicked again - back to square one again. Have a great day. Did you get that rotating pizza cooker? How are you liking it? No, I bought this just over a year ago and it's amazing... www.amazon.co.uk/Giles-Posner-EK2309-Italian-Stone/dp/B01M1HUCODThey seem to be really hard to get (at least, that make). But it' works a treat. Gets up to a good temp, you've a heating element below the stone and one in the lid and it cooks the pizzas to perfection. I do miss the wood-fired taste, but that's a small price to pay for great pizzas every time.

It got down to 5° this morning, back up to 20° now. Im supposed to take the trailer and head 40 miles south to pick up the donations for this month's Food Pantry. I hope my truck starts.
For all you 7.3 guys out there, my LPOP is getting really weak, and needs replaced. When it's really cold out, the engine will start (I plug it in) but the LPOP cant pull the oil up from the pan to keep the HPOP full. Once the HPOP is empty, thats it.
I usually can make it all work if I can accelerate a little immediately upon starting. But below a certain temp, even that aint gonna do it.

6.6 Duramax here. Shop-kept. Starts well. 2° here this morning. No place to go so haven’t started her yet. No supply run in almost 20 days so the Rhino does all the work around the place.

I called them about the second water heater and we're getting a new one installed tomorrow! 🤩 This is great. I'm trying to figure out what else is broken. 😉 Oh yeah, we have two contracts on the house, full asking price. We accepted the first one. 🥰🤣😂😄

Spent the day dinking. Spending time with my son, made some soap, and started on a bowl for my wife. Sundays are great! It just occurred to me that many of you might have reead that as "spent the day drinking..."not so! I meant Dinking, as in puttering around my home and shop (which conveniently are one in the same).

I did read it that way the first time, but it didn't sound like you so I read it more carefully. I usually say" farting around ". 😜🤠

I just called and made an appointment to drop my truck off Thursday at the shop to get new tires on my truck. 6 tires for this dually really gets deep in the pockets. He gave me a quote of $1,200.00, mounted, balanced and out the door. They are Cooper A/T II's, which Im told are pretty good tires. This snow storm caught me early, I wasnt really ready.

I run Coopers on my 2500HD. Good tires. And about the only ones still made in the US.

I used Cooper ATs years ago. Good tires but pricey.

Not to bad of price I hope the Coopers hold up for you. I put on BFG Advantage earlier this year and really like them except the part were you pay for them. The Optima battery should be here tomorrow three working days is not to bad for shipping time.

In from outside chores all morning. Cold! 22 degrees (F). Trying to get the truck block heater to work. I think the extension cord from the house as a worn receptacle. I have it lashed together and put a clamp on Amp meter. 7.5 amps. both legs when the contacts meet. I have to keep them together.
Dug into the snow covered firewood pile for a cart load.
Out to the barn for hay bales for critters. Donkey is peeved at what took so long.
Got back to the house nice and chilled. Hot soup!!!!!

When I used to travel a lot on the road, I used the Coopers also...dependable in all weather even when it was snowing.

Cold. About +18 degrees (F).
At least I got this summers crop of feral kittens to come into the house by leaving a porch window open a crack. They are led by a most bold male name of "Luger". He seems to be imperturbable. The other follow him but retreat when I am near. They have taken over the old couch by the wood stove. They will settle down eventually. I did not want them left outside this winter.

Woke up to 8” of the white stuff and -8°F. That’s when we change from tee-shirts to light jackets. Warmed up to 44° by the afternoon and that means... mud. Surprisingly the pupz were very good about wiping their feet before coming inside. Warming thru the week to come and barring any new blizzards next week should be pretty nice. Overall, a great time sit by the fire and smoke a bowl or two.

Long day at work. Little of my work done. I was too busy answering e-mails and fixing problems; all my work technically, but Im at months end and have specific things I need to finish.
If I wasn't worried about not enjoying it, (burnt roof of my mouth Sunday on Pizza; I think its healed but I want to give it one more day), I'd be outside with a good audiobook, a warm coat, a couple of pipes and a couple of tobacco selections. There I'd sit till called to dinner.
As aside note, is that a run on sentence? or did I punctuate it correctly

Certainly, not something recommended by Earnest Hemmingway, though.

Got up to 63 here today, but it drizzled all day and same thing is forecast for tomorrow with a couple of thunderstorms. Got my new water heater today installed by a guy from AHS. I'm impressed. Got awakened early by a girl scheduling the carpet cleaning for the old house. Then drove to Mt. Enterprise to HD for my lumber. Stopped at DQ in Hughes Springs for a burger. Really pretty country, even in the light rain. It's what Andre would call a soft day. Finished putting in the attic floor. Wiring tomorrow.

We're to get 18ft waves today. This is a rare thing up here. 4-6ft waves are common, but nothing this size. I'm going to pop over at some point and check them out. Not going on, of course - I'm not crazy. I'll leave that to the young and the professionals.
