We're to get 18ft waves today. This is a rare thing up here. 4-6ft waves are common, but nothing this size. I'm going to pop over at some point and check them out. Not going on, of course - I'm not crazy. I'll leave that to the young and the professionals. It would be rude to be driven by the 18 foot waves onto Devils Causeway! Pictures would be great. 👍🤠

Got up to 63 here today, but it drizzled all day and same thing is forecast for tomorrow with a couple of thunderstorms. Got my new water heater today installed by a guy from AHS. I'm impressed. Got awakened early by a girl scheduling the carpet cleaning for the old house. Then drove to Mt. Enterprise to HD for my lumber. Stopped at DQ in Hughes Springs for a burger. Really pretty country, even in the light rain. It's what Andre would call a soft day. Finished putting in the attic floor. Wiring tomorrow. That was a good productive day. Best of luck with the wiring. Those are projects I enjoy.

Low 40s so it is slipper and fake fire place time. Dropped and decked some liners in big Cummins engine and promptly came home. I was amazed at how expensive shims and liner soap have gone up. My buddy sniveled at the 70 dollars for the soap and almost cried at the price for Starbucks my Starbucks order. His regular guys can stack the rest and I will go back and run the overhead.

In the 50s here in NE Texas with drizzling rain. Had to drive into Marshall to Walmart and it was Traffic City. I sure am getting used to being the only car on the road.

38f outside nice and toasty inside. Got my model 94 cleaned up so I may go dear hunting. I have seven rounds of 30/30 ammo and a pair of wool socks as well a valid license. My idea of hunting is walking and not sitting in a stand so that limits my options. But I have folks that don't allow hunting on their ranches so it works out. Not able to hunt last year due to medical stuff and most years if I do go it for the poker games and playing the camp cook.

40 and humid up here. High today is going to be 51. No hunting for me again this year. Too busy. I agree that the poker, BS, and sitting in the woods is the best part of deer hunting.

Finally got my computer up today and took care of some over due business. Went to the local title company to get some paperwork notarized. No charge! Got stuck in the post office taking to an older neighbor. I love it here!

Sounds like you are becoming the local go to guy. It does seem that way. I dont mind. With Shweetie working a job, and riding season almost over, it helps me keep myself a useful, viable, profitable human being. 😁

They couldnt find anyone to man the donation center for the fire relief that is still going, so I ended up here for the day. Oh, well. Not much traffic, a comfortable couch and plenty of coffee.
It cold and really windy outside, so I didnt want to be out there today anyway.

Last night wind out the North, 15 to 20, cold, cats hunkering on a cushion in the wind, usually they bunch up at back porch or in barn. Before I go to bed I look out and damn cats under a small table with cushion all bunched, up, I go out and throw a blanket over table, get patio table drop in tiles to hold it in place, throw another blanket in home made tent freezing my old butt off. Damn they are something cometimes.!
