Thanks, Sean, Paddy and all Patch members...sure is good to be back if only for 2 weeks and then back to Hell's waiting room (Miami)...just talked to my brother, he is waiting for another surgery...this time it is kidney stones...not much left to replace on him and they always have a hard time finding a vein that hasn't already been used. Feels great to be back among friends and brother pipers! Walt, best wishes and good to see you again.

63 outside and rather nice outside after the little cold snap. Enjoyed a nice pipe on the concrete pad in my lawn chair in the sunshine.

Gonna be 35° tonight here in sunny Tallahassee, Fl....got the heater on and one in the bedroom and bathroom as well (hate that cold seat). Sweet baby doggie is curled up on her blanket on top of the bed watching movies with the wife...I'm heading to the porch for a smoke while I still can.

Thanks, guys...found out today along with all his other ailments, they discovered by accident that he had some kidney stones, so that was added to the list of procedures to have taken out. Really good to be back among the crew, I've really missed being here. Brother let his wifi lapse as he was in the hospital for several months, so living in his condo is like being in the stone age. 2 weeks of bliss here and then I go back to Hell's waiting room.

hubby took melatonin at bedtime Wed. and Thurs. was doing really good yesterday so didn't give it to him last night but he still slept through the night and is good and rested and feeling fine. he's laying in bed composing on his laptop and i'm soaking a pan so i can fry some eggs for breakfast. we may fix potato salad later to go with the pork chops i have for dinner. he's looking forward to tomorrow's dinner. I came up with a crock pot meal where I pat out hamburger patties and cook them overnight in Guinness, then in the morning i put in gravy mix in the liquid and add potatoes and carrots. at one point i started adding brussel sprouts. for tomorrow i picked up a bag of frozen pearl onions to try in the mix. hubby is very excited, lol.

So I am coughing/hacking and blowing. My wife has restricted me to either the bedroom or my mancave. I am not sure if this is a bad thing or not.

Poor Eric can not catch a break these last couple of months. Hope you heal up and stay that way for a while. Breaking from the tradition of carrying a medium stockman knife I ordered a Case Sea Horse Whittler.I cant find my Case stockman and have been using a POS Buck made in China the last couple of months. After me complaining about it Momma said I could. It is so nice being married to a woman who gets a mans need for a good knife. Won for fifty bucks on fleabay.

Fine looking knife, Sean...yeah it is good to have a wife who knows your needs and doesn't give you grief every time you spend your money.

I cant wait to scratch that fancy stuff on the main blade all to hades and make some collector cry. Worked on the truck today and am now feeling the pain of too much up and down. Proud to say I have not lost my touch for not getting dirty. I have worked with guys over the years who looked like they rolled through the grease pit to get to the time clock.

Been enjoying 70° weather here in central north Florida this afternoon. Sure enjoy the peace and quiet of home compared to the constant noise in Miami.

Not knowing Margaret's husband, I am sure that he married up, and he would agree...same with Sean I reckon....certainly the case with me.

I totally agree....my wife was the best thing that ever happened to me...never have I been happier! A good marriage requires equal time for both... and equal opportunity to be heard.

I knew it was true love when I untied her and she didn't call the police. Bur really I needed a purpose other than self destruction. So I worked non stop and gave her every check I ever made and between the two of us we created a home and a family. I say it worked out pretty well.

I normally do not watch the Oscars, but it was on tonight... I saw a baldheaded rag say “Workers of the World Unite”... and she received cheers.
It is amazing that people can recite Marx/ Stalinist rhetoric that resulted in 10’s of millions expunged from the earth and they cry out for chains on others necks, thinking that theirs will be saved.
I despise the scumbags.

The structure of the " like " button on the internet is strange to me. Such and such says " having heart surgery today " and then it says such and such, such and such, and 9 others " like " this. I know that's not exactly what we mean when we hit the button all the time but still sometimes throws me off.
