I had to watch the Red Carpet Show, wife wants to see the gowns, Jon Hamm ruined himself in my eyes in a chrome suit, skinny than skinner legs, made his feet look like a clowns, But it was a Tom Ford. When it finished we switched over to Streaming movie, crossing my fingers that the Texas girl, won, Rene for Judy Garland movie. Found out this morning she did. Brad Pitt I found out went on a political rant, really disappointed me, always like his acting, gonna put him in the closet with all the crazy F*#Ks. Thatโs All Folks!

Made out of wound center alive after a drip and debriding on the bad leg with all the hardware. Momma and I did not watch the Oscars as all those types of shows have turned into some kind of political platform by people who pretend for a living. If I want to learn more about communism I can always watch the primary debates. Anywho I have to stay off the leg a little longer as much as possible and use my cane. Todays visit came with a script for 7 pain pills. The cable guys just left and they got the line buried nice and tidy.

Been enjoying the pleasure of my own home for a short time...away from Miami so I can decompress from stress, got a call from my brother and he is doing much better (better than being 3/4 dead) and so I don't have to rush back to insanity for a while...maybe 2 weeks if I am lucky. Love being in the peace and quiet of this town called Tallahassee. Food sucks, but at least it is quiet here...fixing some steaks in an iron skillet as I am too lazy to go out and get the grill going. Tastes just as good and half the work.

In from outside chores. About 40 degrees with a cold wind. Dug a trench in the ice to drain snow melt away from the front door. Miner's Pick.
More snow due tonight but not much.
Chest cold is now on day 9 and I wish it would go AWAY!

Heavy rain off and on today and its muggy so the AC is on. After four years parked on gravel by the lake I am really enjoying this oversized concrete pad. Plenty of room for the 40ft fifth wheel with the lawn chairs and still lots of concrete to park on.

The structure of the " like " button on the internet is strange to me. Such and such says " having heart surgery today " and then it says such and such, such and such, and 9 others " like " this. I know that's not exactly what we mean when we hit the button all the time but still sometimes throws me off. Like Tosh said, it can mean many things. Maybe in didn't forums it means different things, but here I use it as a kind of acknowledgement. Again, like tosh said, for me it means, 'I hear you' or 'I understand' or sometimes that I like the fact that the person has replied. To be fair, I probably overuse it.

I normally do not watch the Oscars, but it was on tonight... I saw a baldheaded rag say โWorkers of the World Uniteโ... and she received cheers. It is amazing that people can recite Marx/ Stalinist rhetoric that resulted in 10โs of millions expunged from the earth and they cry out for chains on others necks, thinking that theirs will be saved. I despise the scumbags. Get back to work! "Work Will Make You Free"

Drove 500 miles in the last 2 days looking at houses. A really nice house surrounded by trashed homes. Soggy floors. Nice one today but needs new cabinets and a few other things. On 20 acres, 1/3 cleared in hay and the rest wooded and full of hogs and deer. If we bought it we couldn't afford to fix what needs fixing. Wife loved it of course.

More snow overnight. About +18 degrees which I am thankful for.
Supposed to make the 90 mile round trip into the Town of Toad today. Not sure about that. Highway, one lane in each direction so you better choose right, has not been plowed. Not sure if they had trouble hitching the mule team to the scrapper or what.

I got in my Suv a while ago started to go to a store..I herd a loud noise like a brake scrubbing. That sickening feeling came over me..I called my neighbor who is a retired mechanic. He said the brakes were just wet..He drove the car and dried them out..Every thing is OK now and my wallet has breathed a sigh of relief...The rain around here just won't stop.It seems like it's been raining for days. It's raining today, ans it's suppose to rain for the next 2 days..Enough Already.

My brakes are starting to squeak as well. Only in reverse for now, but I know they are due, and looking at my rear rotors I expect to need to replace them as well. PAD / TAD money?? RIIIIGHT...

Cats are great people too...don't get me wrong on that, but there is something about a sweet lil face looking up at you, full of love and trust, a doggie that will be with you always no matter what, no matter how you feel, dogs will always bring your spirits up. I like to think they are God's example of what we should all be like...sorry, those who don't believe....not meant to be forum buster, just my thoughts on the subject.

The dogs we have gotten for my wife are very nice and have been good for the family. But a cat that sits on your lap for a scratch is just different then a dog. That my story and I am sticking to it. ๐

Still a gloomy 51 degrees with a spot or two of big rain drops. I really enjoy this kind of weather. I was looking at big oak today but could not find any signs of spring with new buds on the branches. Trying to make friends with a big squirrel who likes raw almonds. Had my 500 dollar 2007 Yukon Xl towed to my friends shop pretty sure I just need to do the VVT lifters. I pulled one valve cover when I bought it and one rocker was just sitting there with that cylinder disengaged a pretty common problem. It belonged to a friends father who said it just started making noise one day. It starts right up with a ton of codes and if it turns out to be worse at least I get a set of tires and rims. Would sure beat buying a new one at the prices they are asking these days.

Brakes are over rated. I have operated a couple of vehicles which had none. I just plan ahead more and keep the speed down. Putting it into a slide in order to stop helps. This one of the advantages of living rural and lots of dirt roads. Save on repairs, you do not really need those brakes.

One house that we were going to look at yesterday was a beautiful 21 acres with an artesian spring. Unfortunately, the road was clay. Wet clay. Got 10 feet on to it and barely was able to back off. I see why it's priced so low.

You can get around most things in a car being broken or not looking good. But by gosh they have to stop. Good thing is that most cars make changing out the pads and rotors just a little harder than changing a tire. Still getting rain and cool weather this morning.

i was supposed to take my Mom to the doctor this morning. after i got back from dropping hubby off at work i came home, turned the car around in the driveway so the passenger door was on her side of the yard and came in to get ready. I went over when it was time to leave, got her to the car, came around to the driver side and that's when i noticed the front tire was REALLY low, practically flat. Told her we couldn't go. Got her back in the house and then i backed the car down the driveway to make room for another car. went in the house and posted on facebook, anyone want to come over and inflate a tire? lol. A friend sent her truck driver husband over (he's my brother's best friend) and he sprayed down the tire with soapy water then inflated it. didn't see anything. he then checked the rest of the tires and they were all a little low. So far the tire is staying inflated. I must have driven hubby to work with the tire like that. yikes. but it was dark when we left so I had no idea.

I see why it's priced so low. Are you possibly overlooking several advantages to living on such a road? First, unlikely JWs and LDS missionaries will visit you. Then, Process Servers are unlikely to place themselves at risk on a road they cannot navigate. Less passing traffic to endanger pets and small people. In my experience, the best tires for a clay road are the WWII military bi-directional. They are still made in 16 inch diameter for the public. If you need the maker, I can check my records.

I believe it is Coker Tire who still makes them in a6 and 20 inch.
