My new toy thanks to my loving wife, a forever Match: Those are neat! I almost bought one on Amazon while I was Christmas shopping. Do you like it/does it work good?

Happy Winter Solstice! Thank goodness for the shortest day of the year! Living in the Wet Coast, we’ve had nothing but rain, rain and more rain. Did I mention we’ve had rain? Anyway, today, the Christmas Star at its zenith and Christmas in four days gives me something to look forward to. Merry Christmas everyone!🎅🏻🎄

Our South African members haven't been seen for a while, nor our Australian members.

Woke up early this morning hurting all over. Didn't do anything yesterday as I didn't feel up to it. I guess it's Fridays flu shot catching up with me. Last one I got had me in bed for 3 days.

I’m kinda froggy this morning, woke up at six, put Buddy out, made coffee, did The brushy brushty thing, by that time Buddy was scratching at the door, let him in the kennel, went back to our bedroom and slept till almost 11:00 , man that’s not me, I’m kind of froggy now. Oh good news, weather is nice enough to smoke a cigar on porch!

That’s why I stopped getting the flu shot Ron. I’ve found every time I get one the greater likelihood I’ll get sick. Makes me wonder about the COVID virus too. Yes, I plan on getting it when it’s my turn. Thinking some defence is better then no defence.

Sitting in my kitchen looking out the window. Forecast calling for 2” (50mm) of rain today. Another, cold, wet and miserable day on the Wet Coast.

Given your age, full bloom ripeness, and overall condition, they probably gave you the Senior Citizen Flu Shot. That is extra dose for us old timers and can have a reaction time. That is good news as it means anti-bodies and Good Ju Ju are forming in your system. You will be able to resist more flu strains and if you do succumb, your symptoms will be attenuated. Just offering some encouragement........

When we had to go to Longview, population 225k, there was a guy talking loudly and coughing at the next table. Hardly any masks.

Started off with rain this morning then quickly changed to snow. My backyard is beginning to look like Vermont in the winter. Will be heading outside in a little while to shovel.

Ron, over a flu shot cant wait to see what happens when you get the Covid shot. Cause I care you can have my Covid shot as well that way you get a double dose.

Cloudy and breezy, but almost 50°. We're getting ready to head to an indoor arena and work a couple of horses.

Back to rain again turning all the earlier snow into slush. Went outside to shovel the slush before the temperature drops and turns into ice. Thank goodness I don’t have to commute anywhere tomorrow.

Spent much of the day making a Cranberry and Orange Bread. I make it into muffins instead of loaves. It's crammed full of cranberries and walnuts - and has orange juice and orange zest in the recipe. They are delicious!

They are delicious! That's beautiful! Luckily, we have a woman who bakes them locally and will buy fresh ones every week.
