A nice looking house, it looks like the cable/ phone lines are pretty low across the driveway, be careful in a bobtail truck...(it may be an optical illusion though). It looks like good grazing, maybe a couple head of cattle? The house is actually about 20 feet higher than the road. There is plenty of room under the lines. The picture doesn't show the slope.

I always need an adapter that Lowe's and Home Depot don't carry. Sometimes you need a real plumbing supply. I would love to know of one near me. There is a huge Ace Hardware in Atascocita that probably has twice the plumbing inventory of the "home improvement" stores. The only sure thing I know is Buffalo Hardware and Village Plumbing down in the River Oaks area.

I am willing to pay the higher prices of the Toad Plumbing Supply houses because of the advice I get from people who know WTF they are doing.

It has been there for years but I can remember the name, the map says Jed True Value but it does not sound right.

Of course there were lots of other plumbing supplies when I lived over there. Thanks!

The hardest part in this brave new world is the days are gone when you could wave your hands and make funny noises and the clerk would shuffle back into a whse and return with exactly what you needed. I miss clerks like that at supply houses those people made a good living and took pride in their work. Then five years later you would need something else and that clerk would still be working that counter.

Hopefully, they will put a face on him which is recognizable. Ed Norton would be a good choice. He always inspired confidence.

To those that responded to my post concerning Sajack........ he’s on the mend. Slept in the stall with him and Cricket two nights now, another night should do it. Cricket curls up and sleeps under Sajacks head, they definitely bonded already. Now all I have to do is stop Cricket from feeding so many carrots to Sajack. Last night Cricket went to his treat feeder and gave Sajack a dog bone.........that sealed the deal. This painted colt is not for sale at any price. Going to be busy towards the end of the week, a Morgan foal from an outstanding bloodline back from the Cavalry period will be born. Both the Stallion and Mare are dark chestnut, this should be a beautiful foal. If I wasnt such a hardcore Foundation Quarter Horse guy (no modern thoroughbred breeding) I would be a foundation Morgan guy. The old Morgans, back to the cavalry lines, are outstanding animals.

Went to the doctors I don't have La Grippe, Sars or the Coronavirus. Bronchitis so he gave me a Zpack. He gives the wife a shot and cough pills + the good cough medicine. I feel left out he is always afraid to prescribe me anything that raises my blood pressure or sugar levels. I am ready to die in my sleep so give me the good stuff and stop making me suffer the slow death. I also gave him a nice German wood carving chisel that I picked up for cheap and cleaned up. My doctor makes awesome furniture as a hobby. So I am always on the lookout for good woods and tools for him.

Fudge, fudge, fudge... time to hunt down a cheap, working transmission for my car. 1,2, and 3 are good. 4 works about 1 time out of 10. 5 doesnt even exist anymore.
Hey, remember last year at this same time, I was taking the transmission out?

Check those ball joints on the linkage first.

That's what I did today. Dropped the shifter and all the linkage. Cleaned it up and inspected it. Regreassed, and it's the same.
1,2,3,r are smooth as butter. 4 rarely grabs and 5 doesnt do anything at all. My BiL is a mechanic and is hunting me down a transmission now. If he can find one, I'll drop mine tomorrow and put the "new" one in on wednesday.
I can start the car, shift into 4th and slowly let off the clutch, when it starts to catch, it kicks it out. I can put it in, what should be, 5th, let off the clutch, and nothing.
The car is 25 years old, original motor and trans, hard telling how other people drove it before I got it,so I'm sure it's time for a make over.
If I end up dropping the trans again, this time it's getting a new clutch put in while it's off too. 1 more transmission related problem and I'm filling the care with tannerite and blowing it up

Quarter Horse, superb choice on a beautiful animal with intelligence. My everyday horse is a Palomino, loves people......especially children. Only thing that spooks him are those darn Prairie Rattlesnakes we come across way to often. When I shoot one that gets in “ Bounty’s “ way, he’s so use to it by now he doesn’t flinch. He then turns his head and gives me that look......” thanks, I appreciate that “! Horses are not dumb animals, it’s usually those that don’t know how to work with them properly.......takes patience. Up real early, I believe the new Morgan will be here in a few hours. Have my scrubs and shoulder gloves nearby if needed👍

51 Fords are really easy to work on! My first ruck was a 1948 Ford F1 with a Flathead V-8 out of a Mercury. Three Speed floor shift tranny/ Man I loved that truck. It lies at the bottom of a ravine now. Been there over 50 years.

Trans is out. Turns out it's easier the 2nd time.
I would love a 50s truck, along with a 65 GTO. I'd still drive this pos once in a while though

I can't believe I haven't been on in a month. I just finished two stores with complete kitchens and walk in coolers and freezers and hope I get to slow down before spring comes. I have a remodel with all new coolers and kitchen equipment coming up but can take my time on it because it will be closed for three months to have the work done. Other than work nothing much else is going on. Hope everyone is doing well and will now play catch up on what I've missed.
