Wipers failed me today in heavy rain... midway through a highway exit of all places. Got stuck on a piece of plastic infront of the windshield that got loose. Close call!

Brought the "baby" back from the vet..new meds were too much for her....she has been whinning for about 2-3 hours...it is starting to wear off now and her next dose will be ΒΌ the amount that she got earlier this morning...poor baby was really confused had a blind stare and was miserable for a few hours, but I held her in my arms and talked softly to her...keeping her comfortable and letting her know I was right with her the whole time. Rough time for her this morning...was afraid she would have a seizure as she is epileptic.

That really was a close call, Bruno.
Sorry to hear about your wee pooch, Walt. That must be hard to watch.

She is our lil baby...she has come through the episode just fine...we'll be more cautious next time in watching the dosage she gets. Thanks for the good thoughts, Paddy!

We have the most understanding vets in the world. They are great with our pets , and they have helped us through some rough times. folks who work with animals need a real good handle on people too.

Our vets are so good, that I would let them work on me anytime...would feel happy to throw myself up on his table with complete confidence. They are expensive, but that face...I couldn't live with out her. She is so special with her special needs and complete trust...sleeps with her head on my pillow...nose to nose.

Went to the beach today in the rain and sledged down the sand dunes. It was fun but I've sand in places I didn't know I had places.

Sorry 'bout the loss of your dream home, Ron...but as Andre said, perhaps the next one is the right one for you and family. Dewayne, it may be raining but your new filly that you need to teach will be waiting patiently for you tomorrow...both of you will be enjoying this new stage in her life, being taught and handled by an expert and lover of horses sort of a horse-whisperer.

I had that happen in a driving snowstorm and the windshield went opaque before I could pull to the roadside. Glad you got through it in one piece.

Made another offer on a house today, an hour after someone else signed a contract on it. ππ€¬π My wife and I bought a house once. It was one of the proudest days of my life. It was a small house sitting on a hill surrounded by 10 acres of heavy woods. That first day, I stood on the front porch surveying my new domain with pride, when I noticed a poplar tree off in front of the house, kind of twisted and leaning. I looked at Shweetie, pointed at that tree and said "You see that tree right there? Im gonna get my chainsaw and cut down, just because I can. And I aint gonna ask anybody first". And thats exactly what I did. We ended up raising 7 kids and several foundation bred quarter horses on that property for about 5 years. One of the best periods and fondest memories of our life. We lost that house in the crash of 2008-2009, and it broke my heart. I never bought another one.

We lost that house in the crash of 2008-2009, and it broke my heart. I never bought another one. We're in our 4th house. The last one was beautiful and perfect and we remodeled the kitchen and more. But the taxes and a couple of layoffs drove us out to a mobile home in a nice neighborhood. Until the Houston traffic followed us out here. We just want peace and quiet. We could afford a nice house on 10 acres, but for our disabled son we have to have high speed internet and that cuts out 90% of the suitable homes.

Well, Dewayne, you got the experience and joy from home ownership...raised the kids and the horses and now you don't need the house and acreage and you are living the life you and wife want...can't ask for better than that! I love the small place that we own, plenty of wildlife, very quiet neighbors far enough away so we all can do what we want, but they too enjoy the peace and quiet we all have and all are dedicated to keeping it that way.

Chewbaccy? I didn't notice the plaque until after we left, I am guessing that he was some notable local from the past. It was funny watching the people walk and drive by when I did look up...one old woman sitting on an adjacent bench, just stared at me while she sat sideways...that was pretty weird, I ignored her.

He hasnβt bummed any pipe cleaners yet. Not likely to run off with your lighter...don't smoke any of his tobacco unless you want to get stoned.
