Left over thawed turkey from Thanksgiving, Turkey ala king??? Over rice. Losing desire for turkey after 70+ years. But tradition is what it is.

Had chicken noodles soup with toast and jello. Tonight we start to read the secret of Nimh. As someone who used to be in the theater, I love the chance to read and play the characters.

I missed the bottom step of the ladder today and fell on my arse. Luckily, it was muddy from the over flowing septic tank and I wasn't hurt. Gotta look at the bright side. 😁 🤠

A large cup of my Special 15 Bean Soup and ham.
Made a batch of German Babies. This time in a hot muffin tin and they rose in my weak oven. Kind of like Yorkshire Pudding. Light and custardy. Made with honey and vanilla.

Made with honey and vanilla. Maybe you need to build yourself a horno? All of my neighbors have hornos which are used maybe once in ten years. In the days before electric ranges and gas ovens it was a necessity here. Now they are just inconvenient. Fun to use but a hassle. Like a wood fired hot tub.

I had much better results using a hot muffin tin rather than an iron skillet. Oven door opening is strictly forbidden here. I wack hands that do that.

Being over 7000 feet altitude makes more difference than you might think. How about 2+ hours to boil potatoes?
