Andersons split pea soup. I love their Split Pea soup. I can order cans of it but it gets expensive with the shipping. I have their recipe but never made it their way. I end up making it my way. Been to their restaurants many times.

Took the last of my three Cheese Mac & Cheese and turned it into a soup with home made chicken stock, fresh spinach and mashed red lentils. Came out great! Open face sliced deli turkey sandwich with a lettuce top.

From a tiny age I remember "Hap Pea" and "Pea Wee". One of the first prepared foods I shared with me old mum!. So, it takes me back a long ways.

My wife made homemade beef stew tonight. I've had 2 bowls. The 950 calories I wasted on the lunch burger and fries. I could have fried pork chops and fixed green beans for less than a quarter what it costs for the Sonic meal.

I could have fried pork chops and fixed green beans for less than a quarter what it costs for the Sonic meal. That is a consideration. To me eating out is a diversion. As much as I enjoy cooking, it is nice to have someone else's occasionally. I sure miss my elderly German neighbor lady with whom I had dinner with along with her son most every Sunday. The worst part of being old is alone all the time.

Eggs in a Frame Over Medium. I usually do not eat two slices of bread but since I was running around outside in +2 degree (F) weather, I earned it!!!

The Chicken Leg Quarters I charcoal grilled on Sunday. Actually, I think they were Seagull or Raven. Tough meat. ANyway, into a pot with my own chicken stock, sherry, finished with a little cream. Softened up and served on a bed of Brown Rice and Red Lentils. Nice gravy!.

Haha. Neither. I had the good fortune of being surrounded by very good cooks my entire life. I could probably have a bit more diversity in what I cook, I don't think I do too bad.

Just got back from my weekly lunch date with mom. She was feeling adventurous today and requested Korean food. My mom is one of the most gracious ladies who couldn’t say a bad word about anything or anybody. Having said that, she also commented that the food was simply awful! I should have guessed something was wrong as we were the only patrons in the establishment and the owner refused to turn on the heat.
