UGGG! Sorry about that. Not fun. I assume part of the repairs from the meter out to the transformer is the responsibility of your REC? From the Meter to the house, break box, that is up to you? All of the damage done was between the transformer and the house, mostly on the house itself. REC’s responsibility stops at the transformer. So the landlord is paying a contractor to rebuild everything. Whenever that gets done, he has to call for an inspection. Whenever we finally get inspected and passed, I have to call the REC and put in a work order for new power lines from transformer to house. It’s a process In these parts REC's duty runs to the Meter, that would be past the transformer. Are you certain about your area? Maybe different here as many transformers are not on the customer's own property.

Yeah, I’ve had the REC out already. The meter is on the house and they don’t touch the house It's the same in Texas. I had to get an electrician to put the meter back on the house, then they wired it up. This was after a tornado so no inspection was required as long as it was done be a licensed electrician. Where I am now, there's nobody to inspect anything.

The contractor will have juice to everything in the house tonight, and to the well pump out in the well house tomorrow. What a relief.

Good news, Dewayne, I am happy for you. Not for country folk, but if you are a city dweller, turn the water off at the in-ground water main by the street and the valve breaks, you pay for the repairs.
If you call the city to shut off the water, and as they turn the valve and it breaks, it is on them to pay for it.

I have to give this Argentine Beef top marks. This Picanha or Sirloin Cap is as tender as represented and the beef quite flavorful without being heavily marbled. It tastes similar to my corn and grain finished steers. Certainly better than what I find in town. Taos supermarket meat is supposed to be USDA Choice but sure looks, tastes and chews like Select Grade. Their beef has a bland taste and odd texture. This Argentine meat is a treat. $10.99 per pound is more than I like to pay except for something special. The Rib Roasts in town cost about the same on those few occasions they are in stock. I might order another one before long. I get a lot meals out of these as I am not a huge eater these days. 3 to 3 1/2 pound cuts.

Mixed the oat groats with red lentils and brown rice added some reheated beef dripping from the pan for last night's roast.
A similar meal is in the book I am reading, Sharpe's Trafalgar. Apparently a staple at sea in the old days. Not bad at all. Just easy on the beef drippings.

Last night... In a medium large bowl I put 1/4” medallions of leek, black olives, pesto, butter, and pecan halves. Separately grilled up some garlic sausage and added it to the briefly MW’d bowl. Tasty and not half bad eating. Looks good in the bowl, too. I’ll make something like it again. Maybe with bok choy next time.

Same animal. I have never seen that cut at any market around here. Forget custom orders, no one does that here. Even if you take IN your own steer, hog, etc, they cut it they always do. No special orders. I understand this cut is available in Florida as it is popular with Caribbean Hispanos and South Americans. As for the animal, I have been disappointed with the quality of beef in Toad. Some of it from Walmart tastes so odd even the dogs will not touch it. This beef is more flavorful than anything I have had in a long time.

I mostly buy the tuna packed in Olive oil. It is good to add stuff like you mentioned. I like it on nice baguette.
