While picking up a couple of things at the grocery store the other day for Shweetie, I found a package of 4 petite sirloin steaks weighing 2 1/2 lbs for about $8.00. With each sirloin weighing a little over 8oz, I brought them home and cut them in half. So, for the last 3 mornings I’ve made myself a nice breakfast of steak and eggs. At a $1.50 a meal, I’m inordinately pleased with myself 😆.

Two store bought red chile pork tamales smothered in Dennison's canned Chile Con Carne. Oaxaca cheese added.
A lunch I have enjoyed since I started making my own lunch around age 10.

For lunch, tried the new McDonalds sandwich that is supposed to compete with Chik-Fil-A's sandwich. It's good, probably better.
For dinner, a Papa Murphy's thin crust Chicken Alfredo pizza. Great!

But is it better than Popeye's spicy chicken sandwich? I don't know. I've only eaten a Popeye's once in my life. The new McDonalds chicken sandwich also comes in a spicy version. My son-in-law tried it and said it was too spicy. I'm going to have to try it too.

Shweetie wasn’t up to supper tonight. So I sautéed finely diced onion and a teaspoon of garlic in a big cast iron skillet with copious amounts of butter. Added some white-meat chicken fingers (not breaded, of course) and some season salt and black pepper and fried it all together in the butter. Served it with cheese, diced fresh tomato and sour cream in flour tortillas.
No complaints

after bring groceries home & help wifie put 'em away, back to diner across the street from grocery store & bring home two fish frys & sides for sups. Either cod or haddock....depends on wholesale cost to diner owners. Neither of us can tell the difference, both beer battered. She uses the tarter, no way would I, just a little squeeze of the provided lemon. Our sides cottage cheese & applesauce.
