after bring groceries home & help wifie put 'em away, back to diner across the street from grocery store & bring home two fish frys & sides for sups. Either cod or haddock....depends on wholesale cost to diner owners. Neither of us can tell the difference, both beer battered. She uses the tarter, no way would I, just a little squeeze of the provided lemon. Our sides cottage cheese & applesauce. Ed Duncan, Batavia, NY I saw the box of fish it was Catfish, Striped Pangasianodon Hypophthalmus. From the Mekong River where the government wanted to send me when I was a young impressionable child.

Sounds like Swai. Not raised in the most hygienic conditions. I avoid it in favor of domestic Catfish.

We buy 1/3 and 1/2 pound burgers pretty often, though we had quarter pound ones for lunch today. The half pound burgers are about 2 bucks each at the local store, but they sure beat the heck out of any fast food burger. I don't understand why they can't make a decent burger at a chain restaurant. Beck's Prime is the closest, but homemade is still better.

In Toad today visiting Ex. Picked up two 12 inch Calzones, sausage, peppers and cheese, from a sort of Italian place. I think an Italian may have walked once. Good Calzones. Ex made a green salad.
