A large bowl of re-heated oat groats in milk sweetened with honey.
Lacking grinding teeth and not wanting to wear my Partials, it takes about 30 minutes to consume groats. There is something to be said for slower eating.

We got a Forman/ish ,indoor grill {a Hamilton Beach}, for Christmas. Last night I broke it in with 4 boneless chicken breasts. 12 to 15 minutes at 350 left them done through and super juicy; the old Forman dried them out. I like this thing ,so far. I did have a lite glaze of Harry & David dill mustard ,plus some dry seasoning, but the grill did the hard work. Sides were tiny green peas and my homemade mac & cheese.

I scrambled 4 eggs with season salt, black pepper and cheese in a cast iron skillet, and had two pieces of multigrain toast on the side. Skipping lunch.

Tonight I’m trying to make my first ever French Onion Soup. I did use too narrow of a soup pot so the onions didn’t caramelize nearly enough. Lesson learned but I’m sure it will taste good. Should be ready in 20 minutes or so

Should be ready in 20 minutes or so I remember 40 years ago my friend made French Onion soup for us and it tasted great. Only catch was the cheese he put on top. It was in my mouth and stomach at the same time. Unique experience.

Not hungry for supper owing to an open face turkey sandwich around 2:30 PM. Turkey, sliced white cheddar, Mayo, and a whole lot of lettuce... You remember Lead Zeppelin's hit song from the late 1960s... "Whole Lot of Lettuce".

Tried to make a German Pancake this morning. This is supposed to be like a soufflé or Yorkshire Pudding. Failed again. My oven does not get hot enough. 375 is as hot as it gets. I think and the altitude limit rising. It was a like thick pancake, certainly edible just not as pretty as a "German Baby".
