A bowl of my home made soup and the most tender artichoke I can recall. Ate almost all of the leaves. I just don't get artichokes.

I used to live near Castroville Ca. and mined the tastiest artichokes one could imagine. Dipped in butter, or stuffing a fresh caught salmon with the hearts and grape leaves was pretty incredible. If your experience is limited to tired road weary 'chokes or substandard canned ones I get it though.

Italian style stuffed, just steamed with butter or cold with curry mayonnaise. The hearts in Spanish frittatas with jamon.

trailboss, toshtego I'll have to keep trying, I guess. My experiments with them, steamed and/or grilled, them scraping the flesh off the petals with my teeth left me wondering what I was doing wrong. I actually like the canned/jarred hearts better. Will have to hunt for more interesting recipes/cooking techniques.

If you are scrapping leaves, the Choke is too old or not fresh enough. Nothing wrong with the canned and jarred variety. I use them in cooking.

Pee, eat, drink water, stoke the woodstove, wait for the right time to sleep. Pain attenuated with 835 mg of Acetaminophen, 5 mg of oxycodone and 300 mg of Gabapentin. Pain was real bad this evening. Even laying in bed was painfull. Thank you for noticing. And what are you doing up at this hour?

4 more eggs with sausage. Eggs are very high in protein and tissue building properties, low in fat and high in the beneficial cholesterol. I eat an average of 25-30 per week. My bp is dropping, my weight has dropped (183 this morning) and I have more energy. More beef and chicken and veggies 🤢 with less pasta, bread and spuds. And no sugar. If a horse don’t kill me, I may reach 60 after all 😁

I actually like the canned/jarred hearts better. We buy the jarred hearts from Cara Mia and once it's popped open ... it's gone! 😋

A 5 ounce Ground Sirloin Patty with a single fried egg on top. The Ground Sirloin had a liberal amount of Worcester Sauce added while the patty was formed.

You seem to get the premium stuff (greater volume too) so much more inexpensively than buying from the regular grocery retailer.

Sounds like a great meal. I have sworn off chicken breast for thigh meat, tastier on the day of, and the day after.

What chicken breast is good for is pounding into paillards for Scallopini, piccata, etc. or rolling up for Cordon Bleu, Florentine, Kiev. Or just slicing for a samitch. Thighs are the way to go for just chicken.
