Picked up a half-rack of ribs in town yesterday at a bbq joint. Re-heating them up in the oven now.

Food has not been much on my mind for the last coupla weeks. But slowly, slowly my interest is returning. Tonight I am planning a small, lean, round steak, accompanied by baby Dutch potatoes halved and quartered and air-fried. Should go down a treat. I take that as a positive indication.

Gnawing on the end of a Calabrese Salami while a tray of Michael Angelo's Eggplant Parmigiana heats in the oven.
The owner of the company is actually named "Michael Angelo". I knew both he and his mother in Los Angeles years ago. Their line of Italian American frozen foods has become highly successful owing to their dedication to quality. They moved to Texas in the mid 1990s seeking a friendlier business environment for their rapidly expanding business.

Lunch and dinner were the same today, grilled chicken sandwich with avocado, lettuce, tomato, and swiss, with handful of pistachios on the side. Greek yogurt after dinner.

A lot of phenomenal meals on this journey, chowder in a sourdough bread bowl today with Cioppino on the side watching the sun set on Moro Bay.
Smoking some Hansom flake on a chilly night.

Add usuals, nuke to plateful of mess. k-cup cocoa & all to smoking room desk & continue with the paper (just one on holidays). If have to go out, will grab some goodies from Dunkin Donuts on way home.

Had enchiladas tonight.
Gotta say, I've been ever-damn-where, and Texas has the best Mexican food in the states.

Was in the Town of Toad today.
My favorite Mexican Joint, the one with the real Mexicans, was closed. Why? Not enough workers. Even the Mexicans are feeling the pinch.
Most of the other restaurants were also closed or take-out only.
Sad.

Supper was the last of Michael Angelo's Eggplant Parmigiana from yesterday on a bed of polenta.
Kroeger in Taos has stopped carrying Michel Angelo products. Dumb fugs. Looks like another sternly worded letter to corporate HQ. I hope the High Command will come to their senses.

I went into Jefferson to the Brookshires for a wider selection of things than we have locally. They had the Eggplant Parm, but I already had a freezer full of food.
