Arrived in New Orleans today. So, Crawfish Etouffee on Bourbon St. for dinner. I used to love it at The Court of Two Sisters. I think my Dad ate there while training for WW2.

Breakfast was beignets at Cafe Du Monde. Not the experience it used to be. Set yourself, messy tables, paper coffee cups.
Lunch was a peach bbq pulled pork poboy at the National WW2 Museum. The museum was a great experience.

The museum was a great experience. The smaller CDMs are nicer than the one in the French Market. I like the one in Metairie. Don't forget to find yourself face down in a gutter on Bourbon Street for the full experience. 3 or 4 Hurricanes should do it. Been there, done that. 😜🤠

instympOn the way to dinner, I just happened to look up and see The Court of Two Sisters. Maybe have lunch there tomorrow. Dinner was at Coronet on the second floor balcony overlooking Bourbon St. I had something they called "Pastalaya". Apparently a play on pasta and jambalaya. Pasta with smoked sausage, gulf shrimp and crawfish with a spicy cheese sauce. Pretty good. My wife had a gumbo and loved it.

Wound up doing McDonald's tonight That happens. Time and alternatives run out and one just wants something to eat. That is when I have a Double Quarter Pounder. No complaints here. We are blessed in the Town of Toad with a functioning McDonald's. Yes, the owner got it right and is a fanatic of efficiency and cleanliness. His operation works like a wind up watch. I salute him in this time of huevón.

Last full day in New Orleans. Breakfast at Cafe Beignet - crawfish omelet and grits, with cafe au lait. Lunch at The Court of Two Sisters - alligator sausage poboy. Not great, but my wife had red beans and Rice which was fantastic.
Dinner was at a hands on cooking class. Gumbo, then jambalaya, then Bananas Foster.
Tomorrow it's another cooking class, but we only observe, then eat. Then we start home.
