Longtime Red Sox and Red Sox TV broadcaster passed away Saturday. He left mid-season again for a recurrence of lung cancer. He always made it seem like home with his Boston accent. He will be missed.

Longtime Red Sox and Red Sox TV broadcaster passed away Saturday. He left mid-season again for a recurrence of lung cancer. He always made it seem like home with his Boston accent. He will be missed. The color guy? Jerry . . . something? (I can't get Jerry "Doggett" out of my head, who was a long-time Dodgers broadcaster.) If I'm thinking of the right guy, he certainly did have a Boston accent. |

Jerry Remy--the Remdawg--was color with Dave O'Brien for a few years and Don Orsillo for a while before that. He was a middle infielder when I was in my youth. |
