What a weird experience! Last fall I had been playing with whisky/ey "blends." Tonight I found a small bit of stuff I had mixed. Some Z92 with Evan Williams Bourbon. Very dry. Mixed some of that with straight Z92 and lit up. Within just a few puffs started to feel really strange in-the-head. (No jokes, Ron!) Tightness behind the eyes, incipient headache— and I almost NEVER get headaches. And when I stood I felt some impairment in my coordination. Not "drunklike," different. Never experienced anything remotely like it. Needless to say, dumped the bowl. T'row, ALL whiskey experiments will be trashed and never again tried.

Hi, everyone. Gone for a few days, smoking the usual blends. Right now, I'm smoking some Stokkebye Navy Flake in a rusticated bent Dublin. Catching up on things I missed here.

Getting ready for another day at the office. SG FVF and Weybridge to keep me company while I’m out. Never thought I’d say this but dang, it’s too hot to smoke outside! But not too hot to chase a little white ball around! Keep cool, stay safe.

But not too hot to chase a little white ball around! Keep cool, stay safe. My Mrs. thinks I’m nuts too. As we don’t have AC ( typically don’t really need it around these parts), it’s either swelter at home or elsewhere. I chose the latter.

I prepped some GH Dark Plug in a little Grabow Duke straight Rhodesian. As soon as the Red Sox finish off the Royals, I will enjoy it with a cranberry and seltzer. taiguy66 I knew it was hot out there lately, but that's crazy hot. Stay safe and hydrated. Always Emily. Cheers sis…..

Smoking the remains from my mixing and jarring task, a rum and vanilla mixture with some burley tossed in...the pipe is my faithful Kristi freehand, with a bottled water on the side.

Started this very warm and humid day in the backyard with Haunted Bookshop in a cob, and coffee, of course. Now finishing a bowl of Three Friars in the cool of the basement, as I watch the Germany-England game. More thunderstorms expected this afternoon.

Just lit a bowl of PS Luxury Navy Flake in a MM Washington 5th Ave. Thunderstorm just passed through, cooled things off a bit. Too wet to do any yardwork.

june 29th. wow, we lost a day.. just woke up thinking today was a monday and it was tuesday!. anyhoo. During a moment of research i learned the the wonderful c&d virginia flake is a condiment in haunted bookshop so I spiced the mix with more of the flake and found a very nice new flavor out of the blend. As you may know the Va. flake is not really that sweet so adding it to the bookshop blend really put a nice spin on the flavor profile! I also just ordered an 8 oz of black frigate..(c&d) so I can safely say how good that blend is now I have mine in hand!..lol.. Black Frigate adds to blockade runner so both are great blends but the frigate gives a nice smokey punch to a great blend. I encourage all here to try the blend if you have not by now! otherwise, folks around here are getting ready for the 4th of july so I expect some fine bowls being had while being entertained by 1000s of dollars of fireworks. hope all of you are well!
