“A 100% markup on antibiotics is the norm. It is to cover keeping inventory in date, dispensed, labeled, packaged, and documented properly. Very little is profit. “ Sorry. I’m confused. What does that have to do with a 100%+ difference between clinics? You brought up $4 antibiotics being sold for $8.50. If you're talking about two different clinics' retail prices, and all other things being equal--which probably isn't the case--one clinic is simply more expensive.

If you saw what I see on a weekly basis up on the reservation regarding dogs, and if the tear jerking commercials took their crews up there to film, it would make the “Arms of an Angel” song look stupid.
Dogs for the most part aren’t caged, but they get about the same care as wild birds do.
It is a cultural thing up there, nothing they have against dogs… they are just outdoor sentry’s. It is not unusual for a pack of six to run around my truck, nipping at the wheels… just a matter of time before one is ran over.

I'm sure Lacy and Lexxi would view the life of a reservation dog with dismay.

Merry Christmas from the most evil Pitbull in the world, Persephone (Percy) She's full of snacks sent from her "Momma" in Glendale Good looking pooch! Pit bulls get a bad rap, they are like every other creature on the planet, it is about how you are raised and nurturing, or lack thereof.

I couldn't agree more. She's my 3rd one. My first 2 grew up with my kids during my first marriage. Both males, neither one neutered, no problems ever. They loved everyone they ever encountered.
This one just turned a year old. She was on her death bed when I got her last January when she was only 5 weeks old. We saved eachother at that time. She goes just about everywhere with me and has made a few trips back and forth from GA to AZ. She loves anyone and anything that gives her attention. The only thing she'll attack is a bag of snacks if left unattended, that bag won't stand a chance.
They're amazing companions and as smart as can be.
Put in the wrong hands, any dog can be made "dangerous."

Dogs always make Christmas better— just as they do EVERY day. They remind us of the Goodness in the world, amid all the hatred and carnage. I’m spending a blissfully quiet day with my two housemates. This afternoon, after it warms up (maybe 60° today), we will take a long ramble along the creek and up into the woods to count our blessings. Well… I will. They will be too busy exploring and enjoying their noses! Merry Christmas all. Dogs especially included.

Just let my Buddy out for a final Pee-Pee, made my coffee for the morning, just press button, Buddy came in, goes to the ice box, wife gives him a slice of baloney every night, loves to eat it out of your hand, I tear into little pieces and he ever so gently eats it. Then it’s Cheeto time 3 that I toss in his kennel , he’s good for the night.

You may know that I am caring for a 13 year old female Rhodesian Ridgeback. This is a large breed in the "Sight Hound" category. Used in southern Africa to keep lions away and two legged predators with bad aptitudes. Usually, they work in groups of three or more and are reported to be effective in hassling lions to the point they go to someone else's farm. They are fast, nimble and can be aggressive.
"Phaela", the old girl with me, is a sweet pea, of course. Just a dear old hound at about 95 pounds. There is only one issue. The worst flatulence I have encountered with a dog. Now, her human has her on a special diet and that helps somewhat. I always know when she enters the room as a cloud of gas precedes her.
Since her arrival last Spring, we have been free from all lions, Not one seen here. Success! I calls it.
