PS… For bonus points, guess which dog on that list was the ONLY one to ever bite anybody. Boston or Cocker from my experience.

Bingo! We have a winner. The Cocker, Clancy. He had “Cocker Rage.” I have the scars to prove it.

When I got back from S Asia, my town has a festival called Dairy Day, I really f Didn’t want to be around people but my grandparents who I stayed with wanted to go, so I brought them, made my way to Madeligan Square then the big Catholic Church, parade was in front of church, Old lady with ice cream cone bent down to let her pekenize lick it, couldn’t get past her, Damn litlle SOB, darted to my ankle and bit me hard, I drop kicked that little SOB, he flew and almost landed in the tuba as the band passed by, she was yelling, I was bleeding, hobbled to Gran paws truck and did not have good thoughts. No More Parades!

Bingo! We have a winner. The Cocker, Clancy. He had “Cocker Rage.” I have the scars to prove it. The Cocker Spaniel 2 houses down the street bit me several times when I was a kid. She would chase me down the street. She belonged to an older couple and I guess she thought I was some kind vermin, but I was a pretty good 9 year old. The Boston Terrier I knew was one that just bit everyone, but he was old and grumpy like me. The old couple said it was my fault for walking down the street in front of their house. These days they would be sued into bankruptcy.

If I ever need some extra money I will seek out someone who has a Cocker.

If I ever need some extra money I will seek out someone who has a Cocker. I've heard that most of them are nice, but I wouldn't have one. I'd rather have a pit bull. That ain't happening either.

Mu mother was always a Cocker fan. I could take ‘em or leave ‘em. I always liked bigger dogs. MUCH more reliable.

Zarnicky walking dog for friend just other day. Stranger approach Zarnicky and say, "May I pat your Schnauzer?" So Zarnicky smacked stranger across face.
Seriously though, people who don't having pets not realizing that they are one of the family. Zarnicky had Cavalier King Charles Spaniel for thirteen years. He was top Cavalier in Canada for obedience in 1984. I missing him to this day. Tristy was Zarnicky's best friend ever.

It is heart breaking to lose a dog.

Friend on another forum lost his GSP to Lyme disease last night and he's really busted up about it. Really good guy lost his wife 3 or 4 years ago.

Wives can be replaced. A good dog is irreplaceable and worthy of great grief.

I just lost my rescue GSD. His face swelled up on one side. I thouht maybe a bad tooth and antibiotics would work. I took him to the vet and it was an inoperable tumor that was growing rapidly. Had to make an on the spot decision. Was a shock. He was a gentle soul...the friendliest dog I ever had. I have had to make that decision to many times in the past. It is losing a family member.

So sorry, Jack. I wish I didn’t, but I know the feeling oh so well. They give us everything, and when they leave us we are bereft for a while. The only solution? A puppy!

We got a new puppy over the weekend ... a "Blue" Great Dane. Fostering was, again, the plan but this one might stay. 😊

We had a poodle named Dexter who spent almost all of his time on 2 legs, even though he had all 4. He thought he was human. Ouray is a beautiful town filled with horrible people from my single experience there. Hope I was misled. Our friends had a couple of Brittany's. Very nice dogs and always welcome to rest their head in my lap.
