The local news reported tonight that the independent rescue organizations are pretty much in dire straits. With the bad economy, soaring inflation and record number of pet surrenders, they don’t know how they are going to survive. On the municipal level, on any given day the Maricopa county shelters have 500 animals or more, and that is with free adoptions spay/ neuter/ vaccines. Tough times for our homeless 4 legged buddies. I've been in a few shelters the past 4 or 5 years and it's the same story. Over 60% pitbulls in every one. Nobody wants them but the idiots keep breeding them. |

When we lived in GA we got a pair of wolf pups that fit in the palm of my hand. I brought them home and put them on the floor in the kitchen, the dog we had at the time tucked his ears back, pilled his tail up between his legs and backed out of the room. The wife’s cat ran away away from home 😁!
They em were with us 7 and 10 years. Lost one to parvovirus and the other had a heart attack. Originally weighed at two pounds and about 165 when they died. They were the best pets we had. They taught us a great deal when they were young. Pack tendencies came out and they adopted the dog into their pack.

Just got the dog back from the vet. Another round of pancreatitis. She got an IV and some antibiotics and is wagging her tail again.
