Just a raisin bagel and whipped cream cheese, this morning. I didn't even make coffee, as the wife is at her sister's house; she had eye surgery yesterday, and big sis is the world's best care giver.

Son made beef and cabbage soup. Pretty good stuff. Also had leftover steamed squash with cheese and butter, plus a quarter hamburger patty. Is that anything like Russian schi? Walt ( pepesdad1) mentioned making Russian schi a few weeks ago. I looked up a recipe and gave it a shot. I like it (although it has beef broth, not real beef in it, but I can imagine easily adding a bit of beef). I like that I can freeze it, and add the cabbage when reheating. I suppose it is obvious that I cook for myself...

Canned Tuna packed in olive oil on a bed of fresh organic greens. Doused with Rice Vinegar dressing.
On a less positive note, my half case order of Dennison's Chili Con Carne has been lost it seems. Amazama swears it was delivered via USP Sure Post. Local Post office Mistress of the Mail sez, "what Chili?" The thick plottens....
