I am sorry to read that, Ron. I know the aggravation of skin flare ups. What works for me is Aveeno anti-itch cream in the tub, not the bottle. I didn't have any of that, but I do have several other things that don't work. 😣 Maxing out on Benadryl. Doctor just called in a prednisone pack, after the pharmacy closed. Those always make me lovely company. Me too. Wife doesn't like it when I am on it.

Carne Asada burrito at Filiberto’s in Wellton Arizona. Smothered with chile or dry? Dry on the outside, I am a big fan of holding my burrito to eat. “New Mexico Style” smotherings are too much for me, not a fan. Just their house red salsa which is good. The meat and seasoning is good, the tortilla is perfect. The burrito is pretty heavy, after downing one it feels like it is time for a siesta. Bertolli’s Italian Sausage and Rigatoni back at the house. Out of all the prepared meals in the freezer section, this brand ranks high… super fast and good skillet meal.

They really are. With the Russel Stover, Whitman’s, etc… there are some good chocolates to be had, but they throw in a few stinkers. Even though I am not big on sweets, these are all good, but not cheap. Youse gets what youse pay for.

Home made chicken and ham salad sandwich with diced onions, Branson Pickle Relish/Chutney on toasted sourdough and topped with romaine lettuce leaves. I have to hand to the South. That Duke's Mayonnaise is the best I have had from a store. Thick enough to keep all the bits of chicken, ham and onion together on the toast. They also add enough lemon zest to make it right!

I enjoy both but the dry burrito is hand food whilst the smothered requires a plate, knife, and fork. Any excuse for good red chile is for me.

Felt like a nice meal tonight. Fillet Mignon, garlic bread, green beans, tatter tot crowns, macaroni salad. And a home made Super Tuscan that's not quite a year old. It's tasting good so far.
I've been travelling back and forth between my new home in Florida and my family in Illinois for Thanksgiving and then Christmas - so let me wish everyone a belated Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!

Tip: If bread prices spike and your local grocer still puts out Italian/ french/ sourdough loaves from the bakery, quite often they have an automatic slicer and it is free. The benefit is less carbs/ meatier sandwiches. Makes great toast, They put it in a plastic bag that allows it to last a week. Cheaper Another tip: Cooled loaves slice better than the hot ones, something to consider if you go that route.

We enjoy the fried chicken from Albertson's, have never bought the leftovers that were from the day before, it always looks unappealing, and the skin looks gummy even though it is heavily discounted.
The wife bought some today. Put it in the air fryer at 350 degrees for 8 minutes. The skin was crisp, and the meat was juicy...I think that the spices even married in after a day.
Big fan.

St. Louis Ribs in the oven seasoned with Menudo spice mix and basted with Earl Scrubbs sauce. My red cabbage braised in pork fat and sauerkraut juice from some days ago. Quite mellow now. That was last night.
Poached eggs on green lentils this morning.

Red lobster as we had a coupon. It was good but the service could have used a bit of work but I chalk it up to the resturant being super busy so was a bit slow to get drink refills
