The best Carnes Asada I ever had was in Matehuala Mexico. Most places are decent.

Last night at the cousins house, hes an executive chef and Hungarian too. We has langoush (sp), a hungarian fried dough with sour cream and cheese, pork paprikash ans stiffed cabbage. Washed it down with a 1999 Tokaji.

after large brunch & snoozie, finished 2 toasted/buttered English Muffins, store brand p.butter & grape jelly on top. NFL game #2 Eagles/Giants, small cigar followed. During #3 game, pint of store brand pistachio/almond ice cream. 3 for a dollar...bought 6 last time. Good price & in humble opinion, good as any name brand.

Stopped off at Red Lobster for lunch, the food was pretty good, the service sucked, and the prices were way higher than expected.
I guess it is the new normal in the economy and inflation.

The wine shop i frequent has it. The “bulls blood”? Thanks for the response. Not stocked in Taos. I may have to visit the big wine store in Pojoaque, NM. I am also looking for Laird's Apple Jack, 100 Proof. A great adult beveridge and useful in cooking.

It was leftover night. Pork loin roll, fettuccine alfredo with shrip, artichoke dip - and made some garlic bread to go with it. Hate to waste food.
Lately we've tried to cut down recipes since it's just 2 of us. Only makes sense.

Those are pretty good. I've been planning to buy one, then load it up with more tops. It would have been better doctored up, but they can never be as good fresh made. And sauce is so sweet and tasteless, but at least the cheese tastes like sawdust.

Goya brand Black Bean Soup. Tasty but saltier than I like. So, I added sherry and sour cream after the stick blender puréed the soup. Next time, I shall add some potato to absorb some of the salt. On the whole, I enjoy Goya food products.

And sauce is so sweet and tasteless, but at least the cheese tastes like sawdust. Maybe my memory is playing tricks on me. It's been a while since I've had one. I mentioned to my wife that we should get one and doctor it up, but she said she didn't like the sauce at all.
