If you can, that's sure the way to do it Been reloading 38 Special, 9mm, 40 cal, 45 ACP, .223/5.56, .308 all winter/spring. I'm in pretty good shape, and wanted to save the "makings" for a couple thousand more rounds of various calibers. But, if I can't buy more, I might as well reload what I've got. (And order more "makings".) Who knows where this is all going. Just a mile from my home, a gas station I frequent still has plywood up over windows that were smashed in the BS a couple weeks ago - and I live in a town where nothing ever happens. Yeah, but you're only 175 miles from Gary!

My first gun was a new 1983 Ruger single-six .22. I loved it, but sold it at a pawn shop when my kids got old enough to use stools. Now I have a late '30s S&W .22/32 to replace it - it's a pure joy to shoot, just as the Ruger was. What is a 22/32? It's just a .22LR on a K-frame. I think the '32' part of the name is because the .32 on the same frame was the earlier 'target' model, but I'm just speculating.

On my way to look at a Mosseburg Maverick 88 Security.

You are correct, according to my Google-fu. This month's copy of the S&WCA journal has Annie Oakley's .22/32 on the cover, and an article about it inside. A fellow bought it in a pawn shop, just knowing it was a good price for a .22/32, got it lettered and got a big surprise. Mine is from the late '30s (waiting for the letter). It looked unused, but was not taken care of, as if it had been a fishing trip kit gun that never got used - it required a lot of cleaning. These guns shoot like a dream, but I can't say it's any more pleasant than the Ruger - both great guns. I'm still on the look-out for a birth-year Ruger single-six...and a birth-year Peterson.

Stimulated the economy today. Scheels had plenty of ammo.

I might start a Go-Fund Me page to raise money for an 1873 Army Model Colt reproduction. Every old geezer should be so armed. LOL!
I suspect Go Fund Me prohibits firearms as a subject for raising money.

I suspect Go Fund Me prohibits firearms as a subject for raising money. I shipped a gun via UPS many years ago. This was in the historical era of BSA (Before Stupidity Age), and I was young. I insured it, and they wanted to know what was in the box. I said "Tools. A very expensive speciality drill". It shipped. But I'll not be doing that again.
